NFT: Grammar Checking Software

haper : 3/14/2019 1:00 pm
I'm looking for recommendations for grammar checking software, mostly for composing emails in Outlook. I have a tendency to make errors on emails that I'm rushing through.

I have been using a free version of Grammarly and it does a good job of finding standard errors such as punctuation, spelling, etc. But I need something that does more than that.

Here is a sample sentence with a missing word: "I think we ran into this same issue in the past where we continued to a survey." Here is another sentence with a misused word "It is what the client call limited work environment." Grammarly and standard outlook didn't flag either sentence, but they obviously aren't correct.

btw: I don't mind paying for something if it does what I need.

has a built in grammar checker. Have you used that?

there is a checkbox to "check grammar as you type"

Yes, I have that active but find it not very useful.

didn't pick it up and you're worried about it then you should do what I do and have an email auto-signature that says:

"This message was typed on my phone. Please excuse any brevity, typos, and grammar errors"

I have this even as my signature when I use Outlook so I'm off the hook for basically any errors in the email.
that's the dumbest signature line ever
