He's relentless. A bit undersized, but excellent speed rusher. Had more sacks than Chandler Jones in 2016, was injured in 2017, then played out of position in the 4-3 in 2018. A lower priced upgrade to OV, and Bettcher loves him.
have ties to him. Raiders DL coach, Bucs head coach and Bechter. We don't have an advantage of getting him due to Bechter but that speaks to the character of him.

If he knows Bettcher's defense, all the better and that adds value.
I guess it depends upon what other of our FAs sign elsewhere, and for how much. True?
You'll drive yourself crazy if you start worrying about comp picks in March.
I would argue it's a huge edge that only Belichick and few others exploit. I know we have to field a team, but they need to commit to a rebuild while getting younger and cheaper.

we have 12 picks lol....we are going to get younger. not to mention all of the rookies we had last year. we have young guys like gallman, coleman, peppers, beal, goodson, tomlinson. the team is pretty young and with 12 picks potentially, we will continue to be young and cheap.
i think most assumed williams was #1 target along OL this offseason. thats okay tho. remmers would be a solid add. we have a ton of picks and could add a couple OL in draft to develop
Agree completely. But the Patriots have the "luxury" of having created a quality NFL roster. You do that through the draft. But they didn't blow 7-8 drafts in a row like the Giants have done.
Look at last year. Most people here thought we were due a 3rd round comp pick (spotrac or some other site even projected that). We got a LATE 5th instead.
So we can not sign anyone in hopes we might get a 3rd round pick. But unfortunately, we don't have the same roster as the Pats.
What’s the plan if they get shut out on these guys? Â
I was really hoping we would land Williams, but they must not have made a very strong offer if he ended up settling for a 1 year $7 mil deal with Carolina. I was expecting to see that we would have at least offered him a multiyear deal at $10mil+ per year, but that must not be the case.

Yea he was the guy I wanted most. Very curious what the Giants offered.

rumor is he took less money to stay and play on a prove it deal. May have had an offer for 8-10 mil a year.

Just to be fair, the highest comp pick OTC projected us to get was a 4th rounder. However, we should have traded Collins if we could have received a third rounder from a Tampa Bay as rumored during the trade deadline.
RE: Eric ; These side adds blocking out part of posts is indeed Â
Buy AdGuard Pro. Cant cost that much. Once I installed it, I haven’t had any ads show up from BBI. It’s a one time cost. PS. I don’t have any affiliation with them.
If only we had Patrick Peterson!
We had plenty of cap space to start the offseason and the OBJ trade actually cleared some more so yes, we should be able to afford him.
is it gonna happen? lol did you ever say how connected you were?
Interesting. Thanks for sharing.
Hear of any contact with Justin Houston?

That would defeat the purpose of asshattery
Is he our new "insider"?
Height: 6′ 3″
Weight: 260 lbs
University of Missouri
Golden only had 2.5 sacks in 2018 and zero in 2017 but tore his ACL and was rounding into his 2016 form in the second half of last season.
He had a team-high 12.5 sacks in 2016.

not really... i think it was jon who didnt say specifically names or anything but he alluded to how he gets info...
You'll drive yourself crazy if you start worrying about comp picks in March.
Berry?
ah so you expected
golden
d williams
and another D piece
they lost williams so will pursue remmers, they still after golden and no clue who the other D guy is...
maybe a CB?
If we landed Golden and Remmers I'd say those are very practical, very solid moves.
Hey jt, do you think we'll land Golden?

But BBIers don’t want them to win THIS year..😎

Plan A was the tackle from Carolina?

That's exactly why they traded OBJ, because they want
to win this year, gotcha. Denial doesn't help the cause,
for this organization.
Gettleman's going all out on this one. He's taking Golden to dinner tonight at the Old Country Buffet - you can't beat that senior citizen discount.

The org has to say they want to win this year. Objective analysis of their roster suggests there is little chance of that.

Mystifying.
Why wouldn't he take him to Golden Corral?

So I take it you haven't way he's football in the past 20 years?
Yup- so many changes yet again. I hope we can sign Golden for a reasonable price. We still need a RT in a bad way.
And here I thought you meant Marcus Golden... Sly devil you meant Tate! hahaha
