At $9.375M APY, the Eagles add a 4th round 2020 compensatory pick to the board for Golden Tate.

As for the Giants, for now the signing cancels out the 5th rounder they had for Jamon Brown.
lets hope

recent history the giants have been screwed on the forumula and its on the line of cancelling out collins...so we better be right that it cancels out brown and not collins
Too much can happen between now and next year

With signings that it's kind of crazy to over analyze this now.
Hand out stupid money and give the Eagles an extra pick

They're just not good at the whole football thing anymore.

normally thats the case but we have no other worth while FA's to help on our forumula side so anyone we bring in basically just eats into the possible pick. You can't lose that 3rd for collins especially in a year we probably wont be competitive.
I'll start thinking about comp picks when the season is over

how the hell does that happen?
Platos : 3/14/2019 6:10 pm : link
its not even a big contract. we get guys signed away all the time and we hardly get any compensation...
Do we ever get good comp picks?
UberAlias : 3/14/2019 6:10 pm : link
We let entire roster go and still looking st everyone else getting better comped.
What about Collins?

This obsession with comp picks

Is nuts. Take another look at the rate at which guys drafted at the end of the 3rd and 4th rounds become starters. Chances are that guy won’t see a second contract in the NFL.
We can't even predict
Jolly Blue Giant : 3/14/2019 6:16 pm : link
Our comp picks a week before they come out. I'm not going to go crazy with this in March.
um

if Reese made use of the 3rd and 4th rounders we did have he'd still have a job. don't act like middle of the draft selections don't pan out. here's a short list
top 16 since Brady - ( New Window )

Ahmad Bradshaw was a 7th. Justin Tuck a third. Tom Brady a sixth. Every pick counts.
Collins

Do Giants still get a comp pick for Collins going to Skins?

the late 3rd and 4th rd picks don't matter yet lauding the Beckham trade at the same time where it was a third of the return...
According to OTC
SJGiant : 3/14/2019 10:04 pm : link
B.W.Webb signed for an APY of 4.33 million dollars. That is way more than I would expect for his signing.
OTC 2020 - ( New Window )

Only in the sense that if I gave you two twenties and a five and you considered $5 a third of what I gave you.
