Getting him away from this franchise was a huge win. I can't find a single account of anything that suggests he was good at the job he had here. In fact, it seems to me that he should be the one shouldering a fuckton of the blame for all of those virtually empty drafts we came away with.

They knew damn well who they had at QB and that he wasn’t going anywhere soon. They built a team to his weaknesses instead of around his strengths.

How he gets this type of job. He was an abject failure with the Giants. The drafts he was a huge part of are the reason this team has sucked the last 7 years. Does he even have a positive experience on his resume besides job titles?

Reese was terrible as well but at least he has some accomplishments to hang his hat on.

Marc Ross doesn’t even measure up to Matt Millen and he was a terrible GM.

the giants let the guy hang around for 10 years when the drafts were by and large getting worse. the wheels only completely came off after gettleman left for carolina in 2013. it's a shame how it all played out. i guess 2 SBs in 5 years made mara overconfident in these guys. probably gettleman was the one holding it together in spite of these clowns.

Everybody has that one guy, or girl, at work right now who you can't figure out how the fuck they're in a leadership role... hell, you might be that person.

I think you're giving Ross too much credit. I think that he, and JR were so bad at their job, that they didn't realize they were drafting away from the QB's strength. Now he is in damage control, and it's easier (and his only choice) to try and throw Eli under the bus, than admit he's a fucking clown.

Those who were fans through the 18 years of football hell, will remember robustelli as gm. a great player, greater only as incompetent management. he set the giants back years. the scouting department was awful and that was worse than some of the awful coaching decisions.

Reese/Ross will have accomplished the same disaster. hopefully DG can straighten out scouting and decision making and make our current stay in the wilderness less than 18 years. So far in my “ Patriot league opinion”, DG is doing very good work.

What got me was how Ross praised the Steeler organization for getting rid of a distraction in Antonio Brown so that the team can concentrate on winning football. I didn't get his take on the OBJ trade, but I'm sure it wasn't nearly as generous.

It was actually NFL Network. I was just surprised that they would have had a failed evaluate of talent on the network.
