but he would be kind of without a position. He won't be dropping in coverage and he really isn't a quality run stop guy either. Clowney in a sign and trade scenario would be interesting. This would be a perfect place for him.

But wed have to part with two 1s, right? Hes healthy now, but he has had his injury history since his rookie year

Good point on Ziggy, I always forget about us being a 3-4 team now when I look at these free agent lists. He may not be able to play OLB effectively. I like Clowney but I dont know if we would pay what he would want given Gettlemans apparent approach of starting over. He is young though, and we do have a ton of cap room after this year, all how you structure the deal.

Not necessarily. If the deal can be reached with Houston first, they sign and tarde him to us (for whatever compensation was agreed to). If we sign him, then we are on the hook for two 1's if Houston doesn't match the offer. It comes down to where Houston is at $ wise against the cap, if they think they can sign him to a contract that works for them and what they would want in return for him. BUt, most likely he is going nowhere.

Into Tre Boston, why not? He can play and is still somewhat young. Also maybe look into 1 year contract for Justin Houston? A veteran presences to learn from would be good.
I imagine that helps our comp pick formula along w Webb for the Golden signing and anyone else they add at a low cost. If Tate only cancelled out the Jamon Brown comp pick they should have some wiggle room to preserve the high pick for Collins.

I think 1 year deals are weighted pretty low in the formula and Tate should be closer to cancelling Brown than Collins.
Would've liked Barrett as well but I guess you can't have everything

Giants beat out Bucs and others for Golden, TB gets Shaquil Barrett, who I liked.
@AdamSchefter says Barrett's deal is 1 year for $5 million. If that's all guaranteed, Giants got Golden for half the price, at least at the start.
They'd be thrilled to pay Golden incentives

Is it based on contract value or original draft pick order?

Lost in all the OBJ going to the Browns drama, I completely forgot the Browns had signed him.
Browns signing Hunt never made sense to me. They have Chubb already.
Yeah youd think any team would pick their spots when signing a PR disaster like hunt. If youre a team desperate for Rb talent ok maybe, even then its bad, but you have Chubb? Why. Pick your battles.

Kline has had a good NFL career with the Patriots and Titans and he is only 29.
An unlikely match for the Giants, as I am sure he is looking to be a starter.

He's a solid guard but that's his only position and the Giants are set there.
Why would this be "crazy"? Seems logical to go after him, assuming we can afford him.

there aren't enough touches to go around in Cleveland

Shaq Barrett also seems intriguing, but I'll admit I don't anything about him
LMFAO!!!!!
Fantastic!! HAHAHA!
He could be had on prove it deal ... coming off that injury. Especially with them signing Webb
I'd be interested in seeing that
Some of these later cuts are interesting...
I smiled when I saw your handle...😎
Hilarious.

This is interesting
Would they trade their #1 pick for Rosen? Do they want him?

Or they're really high on Luke Falk.
