"There are two types of players in the NFL.
Players who love football and players who love what football gives them.
The locker room can spot both within days."
This quote basically sums up what we loved about the 80's and early 90's teams, you knew they loved football. interesting time to post this quote after the week the giants are having.
But he’s right.
I wonder what happened this week to make it seem that way?
No. Good guy. Made a great kick, but he also missed two before that would have end the game in regular time.

**HE IS A SUPERBOWL WINNING KICKER**
But he’s right.
BTW - I totally agree and I think the Giants purged that group from this roster this offseason
I think his point is that if you play because you love the game you are more apt to make that additional sacrifice, put your body on the line a little more, sacrifice for the good of the team and winning. Those qualities are the life blood of winning championships usually whether football or any other sport
Loyalty is a weakness and usually has a cost... Owners want entertainment, not necessarily championships and players want to use their platform to elevate their own interests.
+1
With that increased spotlight (esp. in NYC) and the crazy money these guys make today, I would be surprised if there isn't a higher percentage of the "loves what football does for them" crowd today.
Oh my, I can see you missed quite a few games in the 2008-10 seasons.
I wonder what happened this week to make it seem that way?
It's still very much here, considering this team was subpar before Beckham even got here. That's how long this has been going on for..
the old Matt Bahr line (who made the opening tackle in superbowl XXV? Bahr of course.

yeah and the people on this website are nothing compared to Tynes when it comes to the NFL yet there are plenty of opinions here
