The devil is in the details not provided

Webb would've been a good signing at a low guaranteed amount. If more than half of that $13M is guaranteed he was way overpaid.
Good for him.

Giants were interested in bringing him back but probably thought his price was too high.
Damn
mdthedream : 3/15/2019 10:58 am : link
that is a lot for a guy that is avg.
God bless America

No joke!
Problem is
TommyWiseau : 3/15/2019 10:59 am : link
CB's don't grow on trees, even average CB's get paid
Good for him, good for us. More possibility of comp picks.

.
Lets ask the important question....
dep026 : 3/15/2019 11:05 am : link
comp pick?
Anybody who read Sy's game reviews
Racer : 3/15/2019 11:06 am : link
knows that Webb graded out better and better as the season went along.

Good for him. Solid depth guy.

Bit of the opposite... Sy (and I) thought he played decently until the last month of the season. A lot of folks have bad memories of his play in December, but he actually performed adequately for most of the year. It was a career year for him.
Who did B dub sign with?

I missed it....

And a wise move to go sign with the coach who helped you get there.

Thanks Eric, I have the corner forum bookmarked so most of the time I bypass the front page. I am going to update that!
He wouldhave been a solid back up signing
Dinger : 3/15/2019 11:54 am : link
But you've got Beal, maybe you re-up Lippet, but they'll also be looking in the draft I'm sure.

Funny, I looked at CBS Sports home page for the first time today and saw "Giants trade OBJ pick for Rosen and sign OL" I immediately thought holy * Gettleman isn't messing around.....my brain failed to see the Mock Draft: in front of that. LOL.
once again
Paulie Walnuts : 3/15/2019 12:04 pm : link
contracts like this reflect the reality that you have to draft consistently well EVERY YEAR. cause there is a lot more churn in the NFL now. NFL Teams are like college teams now, you rent players on their rookie deals and use the draft to keep replacing guys as they age through there contacts. you keep a few, but let most walk

Reese could not do this, I hope DG can, I have my doubts
He was good
Rong5611 : 3/15/2019 12:06 pm : link
Sorry to see him go.
Seems like a reasonable deal...
Dan in the Springs : 3/15/2019 12:14 pm : link
for a CB who is not a star, but can contribute to a solid defense.

We don't have a solid defense yet, so we had to make other positions a priority over him, but I like him and wish him well.
Good. I thought he sucked ass.
Andy in Halifax : 3/15/2019 12:21 pm : link
But that will hep offset a comp pick signing.
It seems like ďno one wants the Giants free agentsĒ is changing
Ivan15 : 3/15/2019 12:25 pm : link
Some must be delighted that the Giants have to compete for their own free agents.
Bad move on Giants part...
M.S. : 3/15/2019 12:49 pm : link

...not to keep this guy.

After Jack Rabbit there's an obvious fall off to B.W. Webb.

But never for a fucking moment forget this:

From B.W. Webb to our 3rd CB, there's another fucking fall off.

Now, save for Jack Rabbit, the Giants have abosulutely shit at CB.

I mean real shit.
Giants were
XBRONX : 3/15/2019 3:42 pm : link
not paying that money for the number 4 CB on the roster.
