he's my pick at #6 so long as Williams, Bosa, and Allen are gone

Michigan DT Rashan Gary isn’t working out at pro day, but he is meeting with teams. He told me the first one this morning was with ... the #Giants. More later on @nflnetwork
Hes starting his own agency, remember?
Thats better.
Gary is not an edge rusher... He is 3-4 DE which we also need, but Edge rushers are Bosa, Josh Allen, Sweat, etc. Gary is a 3-4 DE like Q Williams, Ed Oliver, etc.

Although I’d probably go Sweat over Gary if they go edge rush there.

They could play him on the outside. He's that athletic. He'll probably be like Jabrill Peppers in the sense that he'll line up all over.

No question he's athletic enough to do it, but he has very little production as a pass rusher.

You can't be serious in thinking Gary is going to be a an OLB? That is the edge rusher in a 3-4. He is a 3-4 DE which we also need, but an edge rusher is a 4-3 DE or a 3-4 OLB. Gary is not this.
I could see Bettcher pounding the table hard for a guy like Gary. He’s a guy who could do real damage in this kind of D.
I see Gary having a very productive pro career.
Those are generally not the guys you take in the top 10. They miss a whole lot more often than they hit. Even Jadaveon with his freak measurables has not been a pass rushing force . He's been solid but not anywhere near what his measurables say he could be. Gary concerns me greatly. Chubb last year had both (though I didnt love his 3 cone) his production was excellent and other measurables were strong.
I think he’d be terrific for us. He’s right there in a group of three or four players we should be expecting and hoping for. I have Christian Wilkins in there also.
If you read what I said, I said you suggested we should not take Barkley at #2. You said we should pass, and go after other RBs in the draft like Penny who had better production. All you did was compare yardage and YPC, and touchdowns. And because Penny's was slightly better, you said we should not take Barkley and look at other backs (not at #2 overall)
Point I'm making is, that line of thinking is not only incredibly flawed but is just not the right way to go about things when taking a guy in the NFL. You have to look at what he'll be able to do.
We need more Clint sintims on this team.
Not solely.
Unfortunately, there's no perfect pick at #6.

Point me in the direction of that comment, please.

You watch Barkley and you can see the talent. Gary I don't see it... maybe I am watching the wrong games. Point me to a game where you think he was good?
He was hurt. This has been clearly established. Go look at the 2017 film against OSU. Best player on the field. Dominated that game.

Sure there is... If one of Bosa, Allen or Q Williams fall. Boom perfect pick.

vs. Ohio State and he isn't a 3-4 DE. He gets pushed around to much. He doesn't make plays because he gets fooled to much. He reads plays wrong like crazy. Some guys are always in the right place at the right time and that isn't Gary. I am not a fan.

Fair enough I will go look, but what I saw was him getting fooled and in the wrong spot a lot. Let me check it out.
What was our record with the Hand of God last year, again?

Bosa is except for the injuries. Lots of risk with Allen, I don't see us picking Q for a 3-4.

His 2017 highlight film is the one to watch.
I am not saying he is perfect, but he played all of last year hurt.
I know you think you're being funny, but a healthy Clint Sintim would be perfect for this defense. Ain't his fault that they tried to force him into being a player he wasn't.
Then again, if he produced he goes #1 overall. So tht's why he's even an option. There are other players I'd lean toward on defense with that pick though. I'd put Oliver, Sweat, Burns and White ahead of him. In another draft I could see it being worth it but not this year given the other options.

See still not a fan. He had a really good stunt where to blows by the guard for a nice sack, but to many times he is out of position and chasing the play. He is constantly being pushed out of the play or getting fooled out of the play. He doesn't like very big either to play 3-4 DE. I am not sure he is a good fit for us, but I will say you can see hustle and good speed on him. I just don't see a very good football player and that is just me. That last Ohio State rushing TD was all on him. He crashed down and let the RB run through his spot for an easy TD.
We aren’t going to get Murray, because that would make me happy, and nothing this team is doing is indicative of a team looking to move up and draft him. If we’re all in on winning now - because we have a delusional GM - we are using the 6 pick on a DL. The 17 pick will be Daniel Jones. Hate it, as I do, but that’s reality.
He measured in at the combine at 6'4 277... that is small for a 3-4 DE which should be at least 290 or close to it. He would need to add 13 lbs which he could do and if we did take him that is what I want. If you can get him up to like 290-295 and still keep most of his speed and quickness you may have something, but at 6 I would much prefer Ed Oliver if we were taking a 3-4 DE which we need.

For the 5-tech 277 is fine. By the way, Josh Mauro played that spot last year at 271 (per Ourlads, 282 per BBI and pro football reference).
A worker who can dominate up front, not just a Gettleman player but a football player

Oh please. Ain’t his fault? The giants don’t know how to develop defensive players? Yes, it was Clint’s fault. He sucked.
