up for Josh Allen, Nick Bosa, or Quinnen Williams as long as it didn't cost me #17 or our 2nd rounder. I don't think the Raiders will trade down though as they already have so many picks. You would have to jump to the Jets and I think they want more.
The 3, the first 4 and one of the 5s. Might do it.
Last year it cost the Jets the 6th pick and three 2nd's to go from 6 to 3. There is no way the Giants are only giving up a 3rd, 4th and 5th to go from 6 to 4.

They're pretty set at DE and need to bolster their interior spots. NYJ then for the 3rd straight year luck out and arguably get the best player in the draft in Bosa.
Will, most teams need them so why would a team trade down Â
I wouldn't trade up in this draft for anyone. The Giants have 12 picks and I'd like to see them use every one. It's not as if the Giants are missing one key piece to having a great team. There are needs all over the board, and this draft may be a little bit narrow at the pinnacle but fattens up and looks promising from there through the middle. There's going to be really good players available at both #6 and #17, and in this draft I'd like to see the Giants do BPA at a position of need for each. Mocks are just fantasy land, but entertaining myself with them I realized that I'd be THRILLED with ANY of the players projected at either #6 or #17.
However, I have a feeling that if the Giants believe their next franchise QB is in this draft, they might very well package both picks to grab him. But I'm not sure he is.
If the cost isn't that big maybe...but a moderate to high cost is too much given that you can get Montez Sweat there at 6 who has similar upside with more size to boot.
But I think when you are trying to build a roster up from scratch (or near it), I think you need to simply acquire talent where it falls to you and keep your picks.
Exception is trading later round picks to move up into the first 3 and sometimes 4 rounds. I would move future mid-late round picks to move up and get another 3rd rounder that I really liked, for example, because the bust rate is much higher in those later rounds.

The 6 is included. Thought that was self-evident.
His point still remains. A 3rd a 4th and a 5th to swap 4 and 6 probably wouldn’t work.

Truly elite pass rushers are about as hard to find as QBs. Look at the market.
As for last year that was a QB draft and to move up for QBs cost more.

Fair point, but it was nice to have a difference maker defense.

Teams do weird shit every year. Maybe a team loves a CB or WR and wants to pick up a pick or two and still get their guy.
It’s all moot anyways. The Raiders have a lot of picks so 4 overall probably isn’t even for sale.
