Two 1st round draft picks. First time in decades!

Foobarbaz : 3/15/2019 1:33 pm
Hello, im originally from the original Giants forum before it got shut down so my credentials here is weak but a little info about me....

I called JPP leaving us and getting double digit sacks, including sacking Eli, people laughed saying he was done. So that sentence alone makes me a prophet. Kidding but I been a Giants fan since 1997, my first jersey was Strahan.

Im not a fan of Gettleman because he is from boston and boston people hate new yorkers but he is on our team and the leader so I will give him the benefit of doubt.

This thread is just a shit thread and letting yall know whats ganna happen in the draft.

Giants technique for the draft is simple. Draft best avail player. Gettleman said it plenty of times thats his tactics. Which means we will most likely land White as LB or Taylor at OT unless something crazy happens before us and we get lucky with a top notch pass rusher and for the second pick? Who yall think will be best avail at #17?

For 17 every mock draft has us getting greedy williams, I doubt he wont get drafted before hand but damn that be nice if we land him. Who are yall thinking we land first 2 rounds? For QB i doubt gettleman reaches for any of these sorry QBs in the draft, if anything he pulls what browns did when they drafted myles garette then QB next year. Gettleman has this team in good shape next year because we will have a ton of cap space plus 12 drafts this year so we most likely wont have much holes to fill.

Cheers to GMEN 2019, lets go!
Wouldn't it be more correct to say you're not a fan of DG

because he is from Boston and New Yorkers hat Bostonians?

It's a little bit more conceptually cohesive than how you phrased it.
Think 1972 might be the last time

At least that's the first to come to mind.
Ah, I was wrong

Forgot about 1984. Carl Banks nd William Roberts.

The '72 picks are better off not being mentioned
Actually not 100% true about

having two picks in 1984. We actually traded with Washington to move back into the bottom of the 1st rd to select Roberts. This is the first time in forever that we have gone into a draft with 2 first picks in hand.
Shit, were we supposed to provide

12 picks is enough though, doubt he do that. We are in a win now plus rebuild mode as gettleman said....he gatta win or his butt is out

Thanks. Thinking about this yesterday and I couldn't remember a time when we drafted 2 first rounders. This is a fantastic opportunity! A #6 and a #17.

If DG gets 2 good starters, I'll be stoked. Being that I rarely watch CFB, I'll have to check in on reactions from some of our knowledgeable posters.

I am hoping we do not package these picks to move up for a QB.. None of these QB's are worth that.

I missed that...DG said "win now plus rebuild" mode?

If he did, my response would be that we risk failing at both then...

Glad to know you say you called for JPP to have double digit sacks and sack Eli. News flash, the Bucs had a worse defense then the Giants and he was the king of the $hit pile. His efforts did nothing to elevate his teammates. Oh and NYG won that gam3 38-35. Despite him sacking Eli, Eli was 17 of 18 for 231 yards and 2 tds. Any other predictions you want to cover?

Don't get me wrong, I wanted JPP to leave because he is handicapped but at the same time I knew he was still a beast, just not the same one before he exploded his fingers off. I was glad he left, he missed way to many tackles trying to grab people with his 3 fingers

Yeah John Mara will kick his butt out just as quick as he did that mcdoo doo....If we start off 0-4 again this year the players and fans will start rioting again, especially after he got rid of our star players....he gatta go at least 2-2
