Asshat info...

OliverG84 : 3/15/2019 4:42 pm
Just thought I’d provide some information from a Giants team employee.

-Giants LOVE D White but think #6 is too high and #17 he will be gone. So they are discussing internally about packaging #17/pick/player to move up.

-They are torn on Murray/Haskins vs 2020 QBs vs Rosen.
If Rosen they do not want to give us 1st round pick. If they do trade for QB this year aka Rosen, it will be heavy heavy defensive draft.

-There have been discussions on moving Jenkins, Shepherd, Ogletree but nothing serious at the moment.

-They like the Wisconsin o-lineman and Clemson d-lineman.

Some info might be known but just thought Id share. Anything else Ill post here or anything new I hear. Thanks - Go Giants!

are they not considering trading down from 6

for white then? why only consider trading up?
Ahhhh the asshats.
VinegarPeppers : 3/15/2019 4:46 pm : link
Wasn't that coined back when Plax was coming in and we got reports from airports and stadium employees and all kinds of rumors from people claiming to be mavens?

They do keep it interesting in between disappointments.

Packaging the #17 pick and player would have to be Engram. Shep wouldn't be enough to move to #15. No one wants Jenkins at his age/contract - at least anyone that is willing to give up a pick of value (4th or higher).

If they love White, their better option is to trade down from #6. If they can pick up a 2020 1st while doing so, then all the better.

Thats my thought... Trade down, grab White & more picks.
Funny...

I like Haskins, Murray, and Rosen,
shockeyisthebest8056 : 3/15/2019 4:51 pm : link
but if they don't think the 2020 guys are better than them, I don't know what to say. One place the 2020 guys will have a clear advantage is experience.
6 is too high for White?
uther99 : 3/15/2019 4:53 pm : link
I see White mocked around 8-10 a lot. Are they really gonna risk losing him over couple spots or do they have someone else in mind at 6?

I like where their heads are at on Jenkins, Ogeltree, and Shepard.

Go get Rosen.

I do recall that the lack of consensus on QBs last year was one the reasons they didn't go QB. No uniform opinion.
As for White....
OBJRoyal : 3/15/2019 4:56 pm : link
If the Giants can add an elite option on the DL and then use the #17 + to move up and also get White, I'm all in. The D would take a major step forward
I can see Bucs taken White at

Jay on the Island : 3/15/2019 4:57 pm : link
I would love to see them come out of the draft with both Sweat and White in round 1 after trading their 2nd for Rosen.

Why trade Ogletree when you just traded for him?

I can see every other trade but that one would be a head scratcher. Ain’t buying it.

j_rud : 3/15/2019 4:58 pm : link
Trading up from 17 is an interesting prospect. Could you imagine a scenario that netted a pair like Gary and White or Sweat and White? Obviously there would be growing pains but talk about a young/talented front 7...
Perfect world scenario is that we trade back 5-10 spots
Ben in Tampa : 3/15/2019 4:59 pm : link
can pick up White and then use some of the acquired picks to trade for Rosen.
Unless they could fetch a 3rd or 4th in return
djm : 3/15/2019 4:59 pm : link
.. I guess that would work
Intersting to see...
GFAN52 : 3/15/2019 4:59 pm : link
I thought they had no interest at all in Rosen.

arcarsenal : 3/15/2019 4:59 pm : link
The Rosen plan does make the most sense, though - IF he can be had for anything less than either of our 1's.

If so, then I'm going with the best defensive player @ 6, looking OT @ 17, WR @ 37... and then super defense heavy the rest of the way. Maybe a OC in rd 4 .

Obviously you can't script the draft that way and things will be fluid - but, I do think that's the best possible route for us if it's available.

(Obviously in above, I'm assuming I sent our 3rd + a 2020 pick or something thereabouts)

I would really try to trade that 17th pick to move back and collect another second or third.

Depends who's on the board there - not necessarily opposed, just depends out things play out.

It would seem the picks the giants have accumulated is enough to move to number 1 for Murray: they’d be nuts to settle on Haskins especially in a trade up.
If they draft Haskins,

Could you tape that and put it on BBI? It would be worth it for the rest of us...AND we might have our franchise QB.

I disagree.

Jenkins has value. His value might be higher at trade deadline if he is healthy and a team needs a corner then now.
Think Rosen will end up in Miami
