got recruited to miami when they hired Al Golden but was a pretty minor recruit. Grew from a DE into a DT. Had a decent first step. Looks like he had a good year with Bettcher. Mcintosh is about 10x more talented than Pierre so I'd hope he beats him out for playing time.
snaps because he is a 3 technique."In his first two seasons in the NFL, undrafted free agent Olsen Pierre was unable to get on the field. Last season, Pierre finished with 11.5 tackles at or behind the line. That number ranked behind only Chandler Jones (29) and Corey Peters (12) for Arizona in 2017."
do people like you post the description of the first cob web that manifest in your brain or do you actually believe the shit that that you say? i’m legitimately trying to figure this one out..
Was a bit surprised he didn't get drafted. Never put up the stats, but the dude was rock solid against the run. He should definitely compete for the starting 5T spot. I was ahead of myself when I said he should start, but he should definitely COMPETE to start.

missed your sarcasm response.... my bad... this site/ fan bas has devolved into something inexplicable. guess we are all on edge.
Arc and Others - don't ever lose your sense of humor Â
I suppose my meter is broken amidst all the whining!
My bad.
Ha all good. I thought saying how the Cardinals have won so much recently would give away the sarcasm, considering how they've been almost as bad as the Giants the past couple seasons.
I'm all for signing good character guys, but talent matters as well. Just feel like we are signing a bunch of mediocre guys who are good in the locker room. Hope I'm wrong.

Just replacing the mediocre guys we're losing with new mediocre guys.
middle of the road pass rushers. Not to mention there are still a couple of wild cards on the roster that could take it to the next level (e.g., McIntosh, Carter, Moss)

Fast lane pass rushers cost a bundle, which we don't have and might not want to spend regardless. We'll be looking for those guys on the cheap in Rounds 1-3
I watch every Cards game but with the team being so awful, I usually record it and watch at 2x speed without sound, lol. The one guy on defense, other than Peterson and Jones, who made an impression on me this year was LB Josh Bynes, a former Raven and Lion, who was cut in early March. He played for under $1M last year.
Bynes rated at 75.8 by PFF, #15 LB.
Here's their comments after the first quarter of last season:
Meanwhile, Bynes has been Arizona’s most consistent linebacker and as the rotation has shifted around him, become the defense’s vocal leader.
Bynes currently co-leads the team with 32 tackles along with safety Budda Baker. His PFF grade this season is seventh-best among NFL linebackers.
“When you look at Josh, the first thing that comes out is he’s just smart,” Wilks said Wednesday. “Josh gets everybody aligned and that’s important within our defense. Seeing certain adjustments and checks and being able to get either the front or the secondary in the right position, that’s what he brings. And that’s why he’s out there.”

I think his 2018 cap number was around $1.25MM, with total cash of $1.92MM. He was seriously cheap in 2017, when he played on a one-year qualifying minimum deal. I don't know whether he'll have to settle for another of those to stay in the League. At that price, he's quality depth, I guess.
Pierre went undrafted in 2015 and was signed by the Bears Â
then cut. Spent the last two seasons with the Cardinals. Played in 24 games (including eight starts), 5.5 sacks, 42 tackles, 10 tackles for loss. He facially resembles JPP.

An absolute no-name vs. two very slightly less no-names.
Speaking of names...I guess he's a Norwegian Frenchman??
Terrible logic - but don't let that stop you!

Fuck "names". They don't need to win a popularity contest, they need to win games.

I have a hunch our 3rd DL starter is going to be drafted this year at slot 6, 17, or 37.
The Nexus of DL talent just seems to mesh...
Don’t know anyth8mg about him so I have nothing else to add.

Giants could probably get him for peanuts

They're not going to do much winning.
How about his hands?
