Can someone please give me an update on where we are at with CC? Is he under contract? Any updates with our interest to resign him?

I thought he was an excellent kick returner last year. He is also a solid outside wide receiver which we need desperately. And finally, I think he is still in "prove-it" mode, so we should be able to get a cheap 1-2 year contract compared to the current WR market.

The Giants tendered him

He will be back for at least one more season.
I agree

Thanks Jay! What round tender does he have? Is it his original round 1 status? If so, sounds like a lock that we have him.
Thanks Steve!

Assuming DG gets a legit right tackle and health prevails...

I cannot wait for Eli to have a dominant pro bowl season behind a legit O-line and running game which he hasn't had in over half a decade. He has 2-3 years left easily

Corey Coleman as a returner...

So do you guys think CC keeps kick-off duties as our roster stands today? If not who? Punt returner?

It was the lowest level but since he was a 1st round pick they would receive the same compensation as the highest tender if a team signed him which they obviously won’t.

I think Goldman Tate and Antoine Bethea are returners as well. Barkley can do it but, um, please no. OBJ ca.....oops nevermind. LOL.
Peppers can return

Absolutely, I think he was a great addition and I am excited about giving him more opportunities. Really hope we keep him as KR too. TATE for PR.

By the way, I love the OBJ trade. I wanted to Love him as a Giant forever. But when he did that interview and trashed his coach and QB, I was done with him . Fuck that, get off my team. Great return in Peppers #1 and #3. Good riddens.

Your sentiments are not alone. Clearly the haters of the trade are the most vocal, but there are many other fans who are willing to give the team the benefit of the doubt, embrace our new players, and be hopeful that we trending upward. Unfortunately Odell polarized Giant fans....

As for Corey, I’m sure he will continue to KR but I also expect to see him use his speed to spread the defense.

I was able to get past the interview and other crap, don’t get me wrong Beckham was annoying more and more but I just really valued the draft capital we’d get in return. Giants needed young talent desperately. I would have been content with a first and 3rd only. Peppers took it to an even better level for me.

Now they have to make the picks work.

I think he proved himself as a returner, and it’s his job to lose. He looked like he still has the speed to stretch the field as a WR as well.
BBV write up on CC as returner - ( New Window )
