I had my draft last night. I picked 9th in a 12 team snake draft. We have an insane amount of categories.

Hitting:
R, H, HR, K, RBI, SB, AVE, OPS

Pitching:
IP, W, L, S, K, TB, ERA, WHIP

There is a 30 inning limit per week.

The starting positions are C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, 3 OF, 2 U, 4 SP, 2 RP, and 2 P spots.

My offense is absolutely loaded although I could use some help in the OF. My pitching is very weak. I punted saves but since there are more negative categories in pitching (L, TB) than hitting (K) it makes sense to load up more on hitting. Also, pitchers get hurt all the time now or pitchers seem to be getting shut down more and more toward the end of the year to get ready for the playoffs or because they reached their innings limit. Last year in one league my staff was Sale, Severino, and Cole. I was killing everybody until Severino and Sale weren't performing for different reasons.

Here is my team:

C: Sanchez
1B: Abreu
2B: Baez
SS: Lindor
3B: Ramirez
OF: Haniger
OF: Peralta
OF: Puig
U: Aguilar
U: Albies
BN: Piscotty
BN: O'Neill
BN: Voit
BN: Mejía
BN: Gregorius

SP: Paxton
SP: Foltynewicz
SP: Josh James
SP: Ryu
RP: Minter
RP: -
P: Freeland
P: Freddy Peralta
BN: Gio Gonzalez (Just because the Yanks are interested)

Didi will go on "IL" when eligible for me to pick up another player, most likely a pitcher. I will definitely be looking on waivers to improve my staff but I have plenty of offense to make a trade if need be. 1B is pretty weak this year so I was happy to get Abreu, Aguilar, and Voit. C is obviously weak so I hope Sanchez returns to form. OF and SP are also weak. I wanted Judge and Stanton in the first and second but it was hard to pass on Ramirez and Lindor especially with the scarcity in SB this year. It threw me for a loop becuase 2B, SS, and 3B are stacked this year.

What do you think?
You already kind of acknowledged it

But that league setup seems pretty stupid. I mean no offense to you by that, unless you’re the one who came up with the idea.

How can you have innings pitched as a counting stat category and also have a 30 lP per week limit?

How did Jose Ramirez last to #9? That’s pretty crazy. I only play season long roto, but regardless of format I can’t imagine him going later than 5 or 6.

I like your lineup. I think Puig is going to mash in that lineup in the Smallpark.
Yeah, Ramirez dropping threw me for a loop.

Guys like Judge and Acuna went before him. Judge was one pick in front of me and I wanted him but I would still really look at BPA as well. Acuna on the other hand... I get that he was a monster last year but no way am I taking him in like the top 5, 6, or 7.

Yeah, the pitching categories are stupid. Even with all thise categories the scores usually wind up pretty close each week. Only about 1 matchup a week is really a blowout.
Agreed on the innings limt

Not a fan of that at all. Guess it makes streaming next to impossible which isn't a bad thing but 30 seems awfully low. Like the team Ramirez at 9 is very nice.
I’ve got 5th pick in

a 6x6 season-long roto next Monday. 11 teams.

Trout and Betts going 1-2 for sure.

My friend swears he’s taking Arenado at 3 and I believe him.

#4 is the guy who won last year (I finished second by a hair). He had JoRam on his squad last year so I’m pretty confident he’s gonna run it back with him again.

Leaves me choosing between JD Martinez, Trea Turner, Acuña. I will probably go with JD. I hear you about Acuña, but the potential for a ridiculous year is so appealing (something like .300 90 runs 30HR 25SB 90RBI isn’t out of the question based on the way he finished last year and looks in ST)
Where does everyone have Bryce ranked?

I know the average is scary...

But I am thinking..

.275
40 HRs
110 RBIs
.400 OBP
100 runs scored

Is very realisitc.

I’d say that’s “realistic” in the sense that it’s not impossible...

.400 OBP is probably the most likely piece of that.

I’ve got him more like .260/.390/.490 with 35 HR, 85 R, 90 RBI.

He’s a second rounder for me. Somewhere around 15-19 overall.
I think Judge is gonna have monster year

I agree. Harper is all over the place in terms of production for multiple reasons. One reason is his walk rate. I love that but for fantasy purposes it doesn't help the main categories. An injuries are always a concern with him. I mean to no fault of his own he got hit with like a 95 mph fastball to the ankle. He could present good value since he has been going around the second round.
