Spencer Pulley (Giants) $8.025M, $2.325M gtd; salaries $975K (gtd), $2.325M, $2.325M; $1.35M first day 2019 roster bonus; $25K per game active annual, up to $450K playtime incentive annual
seems a bit high. I am not an offensive line expert by any means and tend to notice the play of the Tackles the most. Did Pulley play that well last year when he was in?
Looks like Lippett's deal qualifies for a little cap relief.
Pulley's contract doesn't bother me. It's basically a one-year deal that gives him a chance to win the job, gives the team an option for 2020 and sets a floor in case neither Halapio nor Brown steps up and no help arrives via the draft or the latter stages of FA. He's also somewhat versatile as a backup.
Golden's contract is pure "prove-it". Probably works OK for both sides. If he has a great year, the Giants benefit from his play, and then can decide whether to pay him or let his big payday count in the 2021 comp pick formula.

If Pulley makes 2.3M this year, hes getting paid like a bottom end starter at the position.
I thought he was absolutely terrible, and would prefer a draft pick with potential be the primary option at center, with Halopio as the fallback.
Or Gettleman's plan. There's going to be a lot of pieces in place when a young QB takes over this team. Combined that with a ton of cap space and the future could be really bright for us. Obviously it depends on the QB that we draft, but they are in good shape long term.
They'll have Barkley, Hernandez, Engram, Hill, Tomlinson, Carter, Beal, Peppers, Grant Haley & Rosas plus 12 picks this year. They'll also have 100+ million in cap space.

Agree Rick, the new QB should walk into a decent situation. It wont be like David Carr in Houston when he had no line or supporting cast.
I don't worry too much about contract with Abrams here

who is available for the same money or less that's better? Is there anyone better than him you think we could get for the same money? The market set his value.

Bottom line, he's going into his 4th year in the NFL, has played 45 games and started 25, thats more than half. His Agent went shopping with that, and for 2.65 mil a year, That's not a bad deal for either side, really. It's also possible he could have held for more and signed somewhere later and may have done better.

Bottom line is he's played almost every game since he joined the NFL, and he's started in most of them.
Going into his 4th year and he's just 25. he's experienced, his floor is tolerable, barely, but may well have an upside, especially with what this line is shaping into.

I wont be shocked if Pulley is cut.
