Can somebody help me out here. We've all heard of situations during game day where usually some big lineman, on an early season 90 degree day, needs to go in at some point to have an IV and get some fluids back into his body. Not something to raise an eyebrow over.
The number of times OBJ disappeared before halftime on a 35 degree day to get an IV always struck me as something strange. Is there something I'm missing here? Is there a simple explanation for this? I don't know of another player that constantly has a problem leaving the field in this manner.
Once again, the number of issues with this player, talent aside, leaves one wondering what the hell was going on with this guy.
Now that was funny!!!
I'm not trying to make a big deal out of this, but it just seems really weird to me. I've never heard of such a thing.

I haven't had the time to watch many games the past few years but one of the few I did get to sit down and watch this season, the broadcasters were talking about this. I remember thinking to myself, "How the hell does a professional athlete not like to drink water?"
They even gave an explanation that he doesn't like the feeling of the water in his stomach when he's running. This then made me wonder, "who the hell is loading up on so much water before running that it's sloshing around in their stomach?" My immediate response was that this had to be some misunderstood rumor. As time went on, more and more people were reporting on it.
I still have a hard time believing this is true. It sounds to me like he never learned how to stay hydrated. I didn't think that was possible.
OBJ is an incredible athlete which translated on the field. Truly a generational talent
There is “stuff” that manangemt tolerated and reached a point they couldn’t and even was willing to eat massive dead cap space
The IV issue—which was limited to last year. Did OBJ suddenly develop this need for and aversion to water? Lol either it’s favricated as a tactic to be traded OR his partying reached a point that it occurred before games and he needed the IV. Anyone who has had a rough night know drinking water or Gatorade pales in comparison to getting an IV
Think about it...::this isn’t difficult to see what transpired here.

Didn't want to say it and have the OBJ police reign down on me. Glad someone else did. Once again, the guy was a generational talent but...
As is so often the case, people who have extraordinary talent always seem to have a couple of screws loose. If you're working in a lighthouse maybe we don't have to care, but on a football team where you need to mesh with 52 other guys it can be problematic.
While OBJ was a Giant we all had to deny the painfully obvious fact that he is an all world head case. Now that he’s gone we’re all like, “wow, that dude didn’t like to drink water? That’s kind of weird for a grown ass man who’s also a professional athlete. Da faq did the idea to propose to the kicking net even come from? Lil who?”
The truth is that OBJ has always been pretty childish. Talented? No doubt. But he’s just as clearly unpredictable and immature with a low EQ. Ironically, being traded to the Browns may be a bit of a wake up call for him.
People need to wake up and see it. I loved watching him on the field. On the field, he was all business and a team player. Management got forced, yes forced, to let him go.
This is a painful blessing.
beat me to it, lol
Did I miss a division change somewhere?
If I had to guess, Cleveland was the only willing trade partner as they are banking on a more vocal and younger QB to connect with OBJ and a close friend in Landry to keep him in line. Otherwise where this goes south is he starts traveling to NYC or LA etc to party on fri and sat nights. Will be a huge adjustment for OBJ. If he adapts and matures, we will see historic performance from him (and enrage the BBi crowd). Or, he will flame out. It will binary and no in between.
He might hope for a career like TO I guess. I think TO had more talent, and more durable talent and a whole lot more heart than OBJ. Also think TO was a big game player and I argue that OBJs next big time performance in a big game will be his first. But for all his HOF talent, and TO was one of the best I’ve seen in 40 years, he was haunted by some kind of head problems his whole career (and still seems to be? And OBJ seems like a similar beadcase too. No denying his talent, but it’s like he wants to annoying or something. I tried to get the TOBJ moniker going around here but it never really caught. Anyway...
