Some Tullamore Dew Phoenix Edition and Middleton Rare at a whiskey bar.. Both were delicious. Red Breast is definitely my favorite Irish whiskey. I have a 12 cast strength and a 21 yr old on my bar right now.
My preferred drink is bourbon, but while I'm not a Scotch guy, I do like the irish whiskeys that I've tried. Quick question, if anyone has an opinion, what are the best Irish bottles in the $50 range? I know I can google, but I'd rather hear from real people here.
will run you 60 or so. Teeling, Green Spot, West Cork, and Dubliner are all in the 50-60s. Lots of options in that range. Also, there is a nice peaty irish whiskey, Connemara.

Thank you Dillon. I've seen a few of these around here, and I guess today is the day.
I remember that. And Irish bars that wouldn't carry Bushmills -- many still don't. What a mistake! I happen to worship Bushmills (my ancestry and so on, and some serious Scotch lovers in there, have nothing to do with this), but maybe that's because no one has steered me right into the right Jameson's. Open to suggestions. Anyone?
The Irishman is under 30 and its pretty decent.
Just got home. LOL

Irish Protestants drink Bushmills
Or so the old code used to go. :-)
