Not a big user of Irish whiskeys myself, but I'm posting this as a public service.

like regular Tullamore Dew.
Redbrest 12 is over $30, but

it's still a good buy, and great stuff.
Just had...

Some Tullamore Dew Phoenix Edition and Middleton Rare at a whiskey bar.. Both were delicious. Red Breast is definitely my favorite Irish whiskey. I have a 12 cast strength and a 21 yr old on my bar right now.

The Irishman is under 30 and its pretty decent.

My preferred drink is bourbon, but while I'm not a Scotch guy, I do like the irish whiskeys that I've tried. Quick question, if anyone has an opinion, what are the best Irish bottles in the $50 range? I know I can google, but I'd rather hear from real people here.
Redbreast 12

will run you 60 or so. Teeling, Green Spot, West Cork, and Dubliner are all in the 50-60s. Lots of options in that range. Also, there is a nice peaty irish whiskey, Connemara.

Similar to Tullamore, but usually $10.00-$15.00 cheaper.

Thank you Dillon. I've seen a few of these around here, and I guess today is the day.
At that price point,

Make mine a Jameson.
Not a fan of

Jameson. To me it just tastes like cheap whisky.
I don’t know but

Irish Catholics drink Jameson’s

Irish Protestants drink Bushmills

Or so the old code used to go. :-)

I remember that. And Irish bars that wouldn't carry Bushmills -- many still don't. What a mistake! I happen to worship Bushmills (my ancestry and so on, and some serious Scotch lovers in there, have nothing to do with this), but maybe that's because no one has steered me right into the right Jameson's. Open to suggestions. Anyone?

Please ignore the first "right" in my third sentence, above.
