Annual Remote Throwers Thread

TommytheElephant : 3/18/2019 9:56 am
It seems BBI is truly all over the board this year - so I am looking forward to the thread this year.

For me:
Noah Fant and Daniel Jones

If we draft Fant and TJ is on the board = remote thrown.

Not a fan of the QBs but if there are the other three and we go Jones = TV smashed by the remote.

What say you?
Gary for me

Always worried about taking someone top 10 that didn't have the college stats to back it up
Any QB taken in the first round
mavric : 3/18/2019 10:00 am : link
do not want Haskins, Murray, or Lock. I like Jones, but not in the first round.

I would throw the remote if we took a QB at 6 or 17, or a safety, WR, or CB at the 6 spot.

Desperately want a defensive star at the 6 spot, but would settle for an OL star at 6.
If we draft Daniel
ryanmkeane : 3/18/2019 10:03 am : link
Jones, we will have passed on Darnold, Allen, Rosen, and a possible chance at Murray or Haskins for him.

I might shatter the TV with my remote throw.
Not getting a QB

At either 6 or possibly higher.
Gary at #6 for me would be a discus throw.......

None.

Because I'll be watching at a bar.
To be honest, i do not claim to know better .....
George from PA : 3/18/2019 10:06 am : link
So i can live with any of their choices.

My only issue is giving up multiple picks to move up from 6.....as I am pretty sure a very good player will be there and they can not afford giving up premium picks
Daniel Jones...

At 6, Jones or any DB.

At 17, Jones.

BBI might break the all time record for thread count if he's the pick
For me
Jay on the Island : 3/18/2019 10:10 am : link
It's Daniel Jones in round 1 or 2.
Any of the QBs or DBs
Sammo85 : 3/18/2019 10:12 am : link
at 6 or 17.

Otherwise, any of the picks on defense or OL would be fine with me generally.

I think we are going DL/Edge at 6.
Seems to me, you only throw the remote if the Giants
GeofromNJ : 3/18/2019 10:14 am : link
are only a player or two away from the playoffs. Not saying I would not react negatively to a draft blunder, but neither would I think that DG just ruined the Giants chances because frankly they have no chance. They lack critical football talent at far two many positions, both offensive and defensive.
Trading Odell Beckham
Metnut : 3/18/2019 10:21 am : link
unless the return is overwhelming. Oh... that happened already?

There's so much elite DL talent at the top of the draft it would be hard for the Giants to blow this at #6. The only move that could really set the franchise back would be taking Haskins.
ANY QB in this entire draft

I can't see myself throwing a remote,
DonnieD89 : 3/18/2019 10:26 am : link
but I would be very concerned trading up and giving up a lot of draft capital to acquire Murray or Haskins. Would rather get them at #6, if they fall. I'm just lukewarm on these guys.
I usually throw the remote...

during games.
Can't answer it yet
Dnew15 : 3/18/2019 10:28 am : link
I need to wait to read Sy's info - it's the only guide that I use to learn about these guys - love the write ups he provides.

When do those usually start rolling out?
The inanity of these "look at me" threads is absolutely mind-numbing
rich in DC : 3/18/2019 10:29 am : link
Why people feel the need to post such drivel like "Doing X will cause me to throw my remote" is up there with Kim Kardashian levels of "PAY ATTENTION TO MEEEEE" nonsense.

Take it Facebook. It fits better there. Threads like this just bring down the IQ level of this site.
Going with the Reese era picks

How about the posters who feel the need to actually open the thread, click add a comment, and present why they are going against the grain?

Dont click the link.

I basically do 2 types of threads with regular occurrence on BBI for the past 15+ years - this and "Who to Root For"

If you cannot withstand the threads, don't click on them.

I sincerely apologize if I have offended you or ruined your week by starting this thread. I hope you can persevere.

I think the same thing. This guy could turn out to be very mediocre.
A QB in the first or second round
Bill L : 3/18/2019 10:57 am : link
trading for Rosen for anything more than a late 4th or 5th. Picking Daniel Jones at all. I'm also moving toward throwing the remote over Sweat, based purely on medicals in some newspaper report.

Its a good thread. Not sure why anyone would have a problem with it.

My remote tossers would be:

1 Daniel Jones with any premium pick

2 If not a QB at 6, then any non defensive front 4 player with that pick

3 walking out of draft weekend without the QB problem solved (whether KM, DH, DL or Rosen)
Remote Throws
Trainmaster : 3/18/2019 11:05 am : link
1) Rosen in a Giants uniform (at any price)
2) A trade up for anyone involving giving up the 2020 first round pick
3) Drafting a 2019 QB in round 1 without a trade down
There really is a consensus...
bw in dc : 3/18/2019 11:18 am : link
building on avoiding Daniel Jones.

It's good to see.

Jones unless it’s round 3 or later
At #6
allstarjim : 3/18/2019 12:24 pm : link
It would be Haskins or Sweat.

At #17 it would be Ferrell or D.K. Metcalf (or any other WR or TE). Basically I'm looking for DL, Edge, and OL in the first. That's the direction I hope they go. If they end up with Drew Lock I won't hate it, though.

Would love a trade down to get an extra 2020 first.

Would loathe any trade up using first round capital or future picks.
In order
Tom in NY : 3/18/2019 12:34 pm : link
1. Trading up from #6 for any QB
2. Drafting any QB at #6
3. Daniel Jones (though this seems like a given on BBI)
3. Rashan Gary
4. Coming away without an EDGE
5. Coming away without a RT
Any QB in any round including trading for Rosen.

I don't care for any of the QB's in this draft .
I would be ok with moving up from #17 to take an elite
player although I think we stand Pat and pick another
Defensive line player or LB depending on who is there .
If Christian Wilkins is sitting there or possibly
an OT Dalton Risner Andre Dillard might be a good choice .
Greedy at #6 and I'll lose it.

with the #6 or the #17 with all of the defensive talent in this draft, i'll be remote shopping
Trading up
Frank from CA : 3/18/2019 2:38 pm : link
would be very disappointing. I want the FO to acquire 12 excellent football players. I will judge DG and crew on this draft (in due time not immediately). Nail the picks with actual football players. I could be crazy expecting this since they have not overhauled the scouts who are weak on OL and LBs.
