He just made a very interesting comment. He said he spoke to Odell, Odell felt he was never really appreciated by the Giants FO. He also stated Odell was upset that he did not get an opportunity o pick the team he was going to. I find that a very interesting comment. Victor Cruz took a shot saying he does not believe the Giants have a plan. My guess he will not becoming back to visit the Giants or their FO anytime soon. He went on to say Eli's best years are behind him. Very interesting.
This trade is looking better and better by the day.
As for the supposed Beckham comments, why would we let him pick where he should go? If he wasn't appreciated why did the Giants give him all that money.
Dumb comments from Cruz.
Go the fuck away already.
And the thought we could bring him back as an outside WR was another reason we are where we are. Cause we took Shaprd over Michale Thomas who was better coming into the NFL than Cruz was outside 2011.
I could see why he would of wanted a little more control of his future (and destination). Who wouldn't?
He doesn't have a clue.
Eli knows his best days are behind him.
Victor knows he was on ESPN to stir up the pot - cannot blame him for that.

Then he either shouldn't have signed, or held out for a no-trade clause.
Nothing wrong with that, but it is what it is.
Hope he liked last season. They BREED Zero win seasons up there.
My guess would be San Francisco
A bunch of people covered this - supposedly OBJ wanted to go to either LA or SF (preferred the West Coast).

This comment is going to be amusing when the Browns are much better than the Giants next season.
Obviously the player doesn't have final say in where he gets traded, but if a team isoperating in good faith with a player that has been good for the franchise, then it's common for the FO to take at least some input from the player as a courtesy.
I ve been pleased since trade was announced his jersey is no longer blue
Ahh, nope... But, it is clear OBJ has his legion of fans, some about his play and some about the flash, and he can do no wrong with them.

BS. They guaranteed him $65 million last year, they can trade him wherever the hell they want.
And by the way, how long after signing that contract did Beckham give that ESPN interview? "Good faith" my ass.

Beckham had already received indication from the Giants that he could potentially be traded prior to the deal with the Browns.

My feeling when I heard this is, I thought Cleveland is where he wanted to go with Landry. Cleveland can not be happy with that comment. This tells me he did not want to go to Cleveland that he had some where else he wanted to go. Now if I was a reporter I would have to ask him where he really wanted to go?
A bunch of people covered this - supposedly OBJ wanted to go to either LA or SF (preferred the West Coast).
It was discussed but never confirmed, now right from Odell's mouth he basically says he did not want to go to Cleveland. That is a recipe for disaster if things do not go well there.
So kindly f*ck off Victor.

Or he's doing his job as a media analyst. If he legitimately thinks they don't have a plan, does him being a former Giant mean he shouldn't criticize the team?
Nothing wrong with that, but it is what it is.
Cruz is a virtue signalling Tiki 2.0.

Not sure why we have to take shots at Cruz's career here when he's really just doing his job as an analyst now. Cruz gave this franchise a lot. He wasn't washed up until his injury in 2014. The front office and coaching staff made the decision on Shepard/Thomas, not him.
He's relaying word from Beckham which is useful info in his role on TV. And the idea that the Giants may lack a plan or that Eli is past his prime is not exactly a minority opinion. The latter is just a fact at age 38, and the former may hold some merit, even if we disagree or at least need to wait and see.

No not really, especially when where he wants to go is offering dogshit for return. Especially after they negotiated in good faith a record contract and then he essentially bad mouths the team 3 months after signing the contract.
If it was toward the end of his career or the end of the contract and multiple close offers were there, yeah, offer him the option of where to go, otherwise too bad.
Cruz WAS hated. Half the damn site insisted he was milking his injury while he was in rehab learning how to use his legs again.
There's a really ugly habit for this site to hate their own players.

and the comments about the plan support that. He's taking the players side on this, which is fine, but he should admit that.

No, not at all. I'm just skeptical that he knows anything at all about our plans. When you talk about Beckham's hurt feelings and parlay that into the Giants not having a plan, I'll call bullshit on it.
If someone more reputable and close to the team, like a David Diehl, made these comments it would hold more water.
I see a big duel interview with Souljah Boy in the future.

Plus, it's a lousy town for someone that flashy. As blue collar rust belt as it gets, cold and grey half the year.

Cruz;s act wore thin because his brand consumed more than his play. After the opener in 2013, he was at best a 4th WR. But it didnt stop him from talking or promoting himself on the side.
Not one poster took shots at him when he tore his patella, none.

This sounds more like the typical "say something negative about the Giants, you're a hack" theme that runs this site. If he said "trust Dave he knows what he's doing" we'b be slobbering him. Instead we have posters taking shots at his career, a guy who was huge in winning us our last championship.

should be told that he was washed up after the 2012 season and that his documentaries and social scene doings were awful.

Don't worry by now Dep doesn't have anything good to say about anyone that say anything critical of Eli.. Cruz was the man in 2011 and was as much a part of that SB run as anyone on the team.. But we only owe Eli for his time here and no one else..

A typical response from the new age fan who doesnt know their head from their ass. But keep crying like you have all offseason. My investing in kleenex has made me a fortune from BBI posters.
