Source tells me Giants are sending coach Pat Shurmur, OC/QBs coach Mike Shula to Buckeyes Pro Day on Weds. Another thing to add to equation of their mystery interest in Dwayne Haskins. nj

That would be a lot for a second round WR.
2 - Ton of other talent at the Ohio State pro day to watch
Doesn’t mean Giants love Haskins, but they owe it to themselves to give in depth evaluation of all the top QB prospects.

Think the Saints would think that with Michael Thomas?

oh boy... yes because Sean Payton went out to scout Michael Thomas and new he would be amazing but decided to take him in the second round instead. Exactly the same thing and our HC and OC coming to Ohio state pro day.
exactly... Shurmur there could be anyone. Shula is for Haskins and that doesn't mean the Giants take him, but if he runs a 4.8 or something and throws great that could put them back in the mix for him.
They sent their entire front office team to watch the QBs last year and passed on him. The guy they didn’t watch at his pro day: Saquon Barkley. Means nothing that they are sending anyone over there.
I don't think Gettleman is at all willing to overuse assets on a QB.
I also have the sense if a QB like Lock or Jones is there in the 2nd round they will pounce.
Do you read this board?
Yes, people really think things like this.
You're a waste of an IP address.
I don't disagree. I think he's a legit first round prospect. Frankly, I'm stunned Metcalf is rated over him.
Lol yes good one. We really got a sense what he could do in a scrimmage. Wide open receivers, no pressure.

At least eight OSU games this year looked like "pro days" for Haskins.

a waste of an IP address? Man you got him good.

Haskins didn't have a good OL... He was always under pressure. Go watch TCU, Michigan, damn man Penn State had like 12 rushers on the field.
I would think they would. Probably Daniel Jones also.
and of course there is Haskins there is not a ton of
tape on him so we have to feel he is in the mix .
I have my reservations about him but I will try not
to throw the remote .
Paris Campbell is very impressive he is YAK waiting to happen
They won't trade up for Bosa and there is plenty of pass rushers in this draft .

I'll check out Penn St. haven't really had time this past year to watch full games but his highlight reel definitely doesn't show much pressure vs. Murray or other QBs i've simply watched highlight reels for. I do think his stats under pressure seem good I just don't know anything like % of his plays pressured which would situate. If you know of where that stat lives i'd be interested to see it, my google didn't yield any results just now.

In what world did he have a rush agaisnt him against Michigan? Michigan didnt sniff him.
Yes, absolutely. Can you believe it? Our FO has actively tried to blow smoke up the media's ass about their non interest in Haskins! I love it. But these tea leaves are more like subway graffiti, than smoke.

If Haskins is not worth the sixth pick, I would argue he is not worth the seventeenth pick either. If he is The Man, you have to take him at #6. If not, let someone else draft him.
Not saying NYG should or shouldn't take Haskins over other potential players, but I can't really see a strategy where the Giants pass on him early but then would be willing to take him 11 picks later.
He's not going to be on the board @ 17 anyway. Almost certainly a moot point.
It's amazing how gullible people are if and when such BS supports their opinions and desires.
Haskins is and always was a player the Giants would do their homework on. Whether they would draft him or at what point they would value him I have no idea.
