While there are better QBs in next years draft the amount of teams looking for a Qb could be the highest in some time. Pats,Dolphins, steelers,Bengals,Titans,Chargers,Raiders,Broncos,Redskins,Saints,Panthers Buccaneers could all be in the QB market. This years there is just a handful. We are rolling the dice big time going into next off season with no QB plan.
However, a lot of those teams are going to be better than the Giants, and we really need to see which of those teams go QB this year, because that's going to change the equation as well.
That will ensure this never ending hole at the QB position for the foreseeable future.
At least 2 teams will no longer be searching for QBs, or at least not in 2020 after drafting Murray and Haskins.
The same people who want just any old guy, so long as he is a fresh Qb, this year, say we will stink. So we should either be in striking range or within decent trading range. And, it's not just those 2 but there's at least Herbert and Eason as well. And I've gotta believe that there is going to be a monster DL or OT or LB or WR that teams will covet and want to pick so as to better themselves, pushing some of the QB's down. And, even with top prospects, trades do happen. It's like no one believes that a team has ever moved up to take a QB before.

Agree on need for extra first-rounder in 2020.
The only thing that changes the equation that we can control is do we plan on picking a QB this year. If we do then nothing to do relative to 2020. If we don’t then I would really be working to see about swapping that second #1 we have this year for some more pick(s) this draft and a #1 next year. Need collateral to move up as far as possible next year.
No, it isn't. Banking on a QB in 2020 is a pipe dream. If that's DG's plan he should be fired immediately.

If the Cards draft Murray one we should trade for Rosen. It makes too much sense.
Sy liked him, who am I to argue.

The Dolphins are making a hard run at 0-16.
Other teams have done pretty well with two good quarterbacks when it came time to move one.
