Heisman Trophy winner Kyler Murray is meeting on the Oklahoma campus with Cardinals GM Steve Keim and coach Kliff Kingsbury, according to a league source
report that the Giants are torn between Murray/Haskins vs Rosen vs 2020 QBs. There has been plenty of stuff out there to counter what jt and jon have said (although not saying they are incorrect...but stranger things have happened just like the Beckham move)
I really hope you're right. At this point what I think is most likely to happen is Eli is the QB in 2019, and the Giants take Daniel Jones at 6.
Oh c'mon.........there is no way they are bypassing the defensive talent in this draft to take a mid to late round QB prospect.
I criticize the front office because their actions (and words) indicate they have no intention to move on from Eli.
No, that wasn't your criticism. You said the Giants should have moved on Rosen before Eli was due his bonus. Again, no factual basis that this was even possible

I don't think the Giants were ever interested, because I don't think they have any intention to move on from Eli.
RE: RE: according to JT, the Giants promised Eli he would start
Rosen just turned 22. He's only about 5 months younger than Darnold. Having him sit on the bench, essentially at a good cost for a backup considering his cap spend already by the Cardinals his rookie year, and learn from Eli is not a bad thing at all. Give him a chance to learn Shurmur's offense. Learn what it takes to be a professional from Eli.
For a moment, let's say Shepard to the Patriots for their 2nd rounder is actually a thing. That pick is pretty much a 3rd rounder, but under the guise of a 2nd. The Patriots 2nd rounder for Rosen is an extremely fair deal.
The Pats 2nd and a 4th would be more than fair. For the 10th pick of last years draft.
RE: RE: RE: according to JT, the Giants promised Eli he would start
he has told me he the Cards are well aware of the fact that if they take Murray at 1 and they have not unloaded Rosen at that point, Rosen's value will go down drastically as they lose leverage with teams. As well, with 3 QB's going off the board in the first 2 rounds, the teams interested in a trade will also decrease thus decreasing the chance of a bidding war.
He said if Rosen ever gets traded, he expects it will be before the draft.

To get his ass in the building as soon as possible so he can get to work.

no point in trading for Rosen if thats the case
Huh? This is the NFL, not Little League.
It's coming from JT, he has been pretty spot on.
And it's not that hard to believe

I'm not saying it wasn't promised.
But promises are broken.
DG said himself, you draft to create competition.
What a stupid comment. As if the Cards were already actively shopping him.
I will take back any criticism I have from Gettleman ..
If Josh Rosen is truly on the block - there is only one team I am worried about snagging him - that is Patriots
This. It would be hard to beat the Patriots offering their 2 2nd rounders.
It's just a question of whether they would do this with Brady still playing.
Rosen sitting a year and playing in spots would not be catastrophic.

Playing in spots?
When has the ever happened here?
It sucks, but same three QBs from last year will be the QBs this year...

Spots mean: in any type of blowout, If Eli goes down for a bit, Or late in the year out of the playoff race.

I think Lauletta is gone barring a killer training camp.
He said if Rosen ever gets traded, he expects it will be before the draft.
Why?
Many great young quarterbacks began their careers on the bench
