This team every year has injury problems, this is becoming more worrisome by the day. Who next? My guess is Frazier, I would not count on him giving us anything, I just see a player who just does not seem to be able to get going, this is a golden opportunity for him right now, but he needs to produce to beat out Wade. Because I think we are going to see Voit and Bird on the team, that means carrying Wade makes more sense then carrying Frazier, since Wade can play everywhere, plus Wade is producing, I know it is pre season, but that is all we have right now,. and I know Cashman really likes Wade.

Frazier was set for AAA, but with Hicks on DL...I think he gets to stay with the big club. Wade is a lock due to his versatility in the field, and that he is a good pinch runner. Yanks essentially carry two bench players (as one is just the back-up catcher). You needs guys that can play a lot of positions like him and DJ.
I don't see Bird and Voit both making the team. You don't carry two guys who only play 1B, when they both have options. You choose the best one and take it from there. They can always swap them if needed as season progresses. In my eyes Voit gets the job due to how he ended the year. Bird needs to prove he is healthy in AAA and mash AAA pitching, before I hand him back the job...which would also require Voit to show last year was a fluke.

Stanton's not a great LF, though, esp. compared to Gardy - but Gardy is starting in CF with Hicks out.
