Randall Cobb has agreed to a deal with Cowboys #scoopage
Seems

like he's had a fork in his back for a while.

But a decent replacement for the troll doll Beasley.

where did Beasley sign?

Bills. Allegedly spurned the Patriots to join the Bills.

Brilliant!
Not close to what he was

28 years old.

Could've been worse for them..
I hate saying this but you have to envy the Cowboys who can just sit
Ivan15 : 3/19/2019 6:02 pm : link
back and upgrade any position they wish without straining their resources.

Cobb hasn't been anything to write home about in quite some time. Missed a lot of games last year, too.

Tate is the better player.

Cooper was fantastic for them, but Cobb going there really isn't a big deal.
Cobb is still a good player,
Section331 : 3/19/2019 6:09 pm : link
just not good enough to be a #1, which he had to be too often in GB.

I know BBI likes to shit all over Cowboy moves, but he’OL be a bitch to deal with out of the slot, and as a returner.
He’ll be,
Section331 : 3/19/2019 6:10 pm : link
not OL be.
I really hope he's as washed as people think
adamg : 3/19/2019 6:10 pm : link
I liked the Cowboys of the past few years who had no credible outside threat...

Damn Cooper. Damn the Cowboys.
Good signing for the money

If he stays healthy
Good signing

Just for the chance he could be close to what he was.
Whats the betting line
Vegas Steve : 3/19/2019 6:22 pm : link
under or over 8 games before he's injured

Cobb hasn't been looked at as the WR1 in GB for a while now, Adams has been better than him for 3 years and counting.

Cobb had a balky ankle last offseason. Missed 3 games with a hamstring issue during the year, came back for 2 weeks, aggravated it, missed another 3 weeks and really wasn't much of a factor in any game outside of Week 1.

Probably not even much of an upgrade over Beasley at this point. Beasley might actually even be a better bet.

arcarsenal : 3/19/2019 6:28 pm : link
Actually, Adams and Nelson were both much better than Cobb in 2016. Forgot Nelson had a monster year - 14 TD's and 97 catches.

Cobb hasn't been the leading WR there since 2012.
Why
JoeMoney19 : 3/19/2019 6:29 pm : link
even compare him to Tate?

Because they play the same position, are deployed similarly, and both just signed with new teams in the same division?
Not trying to be a dick
JoeMoney19 : 3/19/2019 6:35 pm : link
but not sure it needs to be pointed out that Tate is the better player.

arcarsenal : 3/19/2019 6:39 pm : link
I'm less sure why it matters that I did point that out. Is it not a relevant point?
Any terms released?
bw in dc : 3/19/2019 6:40 pm : link
I've always been fond of Cobb since his days at UK.

If he is good to go, and the price is reasonable, this has a lot of upside.
has a nose for the ball
flycatcher : 3/19/2019 6:47 pm : link

1 year 5 million

Could work but he did look like he was done in GB
Randall Cobb had a big day during our last playoff
Jimmy Googs : 3/19/2019 7:37 pm : link
appearance at end of 2016 season.

You guys recall that game...its often mentioned around here to prove Eli still has "it"...

Often mentioned? You're reaching.
He sucks
KWALL2 : 3/20/2019 12:50 am : link
He’s a downgrade from Beasley and the production will fall off the cliff without Rodgers.

He also was never a #1 guy. Not close. Nobody wanted him. He got a 1 year deal. May be his last.
He's not tough
English Alaister : 3/20/2019 5:04 am : link
Happier with Tate.

Agreed, but that wasn't his role on GB and won't be in Dallas. He was exposed when forced outside when Nelson was hurt, but he's very effective in the slot. Health is a legitimate concern, but if he stays healthy, he'll be a handful.
