Option 1 - QB Dwayne Haskins at 6
Option 2 - Trade for QB Josh arisen (If Murray is a Cardinal and compensation isn’t absurd)
Option 3 - QB Drew Lock at 17
Option 4 - QB Daniel Jones at 17
Fits the bill as a face of the franchise, A+ arm talent, and backed it up with production at Ohio State. Every pick is gamble but if your going to play odds he's our best bet!

All but Jones work for me. I think at best he's Alex Smith.

that all sounds reasonable.
@anak i too like rypien, but only way giants take another 4th round developmental QB is if they have all their picks and i dont think they will. i expect them to use some to move up particularly in third round
who has absolutely horrible efficiency in the Red Zone.
Excellent QB when he has a pocket and is given all day to throw. Kerry Collins redux.
Rosen by all accounts I've read is aloof, self-centered and not in touch with his teammates. And Arizona is apparently willing to jettison this first round pick after one season.
After this most NFL ready QB fell to the fourth QB off the board in the the 2018 draft. I fear a Jeff George clone.
First, there are certainly going to be teams looking to leapfrog the Giants to get Haskins. I imagine the Jets at 3 and TB at 5 are logical targets, and the Giants will need to move up to stop that from happening.
In addition, the Giants cannot take the chance that the Raiders pass on Haskins. I don’t care what Gruden says, he can always surprise and grab the guy. If you want Haskins, you have to move to 3 to get him, IMO.

I think it was Sy who made the point in another thread; if the NYG determine that there is a franchise QB in the draft, they will take him at #6 not #17. So it would be Haskins, Lock or Jones @ #6 if at all.
Round pick to next years draft and get the QB in next years draft, I am now sold on that idea. If they decide to go QB this season then I am not certain on any, more certain on Murray but not at the cost it is looking like, unless the Giants are sold on him lock, stock, and barrel.
What I believe their plan is (in order)

1. Rosen for our 2nd round pick
2. Haskins at 6 or a small trade up keeping our 17 & 37
3. Lock at 17 or a small trade up trading only our early 4th round
The other scenario that is most intriguing is getting Rosen and Reddick for pick 17. I would love this.
the best option is to trade for Rosen. He's a better player than the guys in this draft, a better fit for our offense, and we could still draft a guy in round 1 next year if things go sour in 2019.
Worst alternative is drafting Haskins at #6 to sit him behind Eli.
has sort of toggled between Murray and Jackson of late. I think he likes the idea of Murray's speed and elusiveness coupled with SB. And he is intrigued with Jackson's size and athleticism.
I don't like anyone in round one. Essentially I think there is too much risk with all of this year's crop.
Right now, I'm sort of on the Finley bandwagon as a 2nd or 3rd round opportunity.
Lock has a lot to like. He's very gifted physically, but there are mechanical flaws that need repair. I was encouraged by a stat where his completion % would have been 70% or > if his receivers were more dependable.

- Lock is available at 17 or a trade up so Miami does not take him
- Grier in the second round
- Throw in Minshew as a undrafted free agent (Just to see what he can do) just for shits and giggles. He has to better than Lauletta
- Not Rosen
- Nothing and draft Fromm next season (Not a fan of Hebert)
Murray was the best player in college football last year Â
Based on the number of Oregon games that DG attended, it seemed that Herbert was their guy. It seems like DG would like a big/big arm/mobile/football smart QB. This years cast doesn't have anyone checking off all of the boxes.
in Kyler Murray, Dwayne Haskins or trading for Josh Rosen. If we draft Daniel Jones in the first round then I would truly believe that Dave Gettleman is senile.
is, but let him slip away. If that QB is Murray, which I doubt, they have to go get him. Same with Haskins, Lock won’t go as high as 6, so if he is their choice, they need to be sure they get him with 17 or a trade up.
Rosen for a 2nd ... or a 3rd and a 5th ... nothing more
Or else we wait til next year.
We still have a lot of other needs to fill.
Option 2 - Trade for QB Josh arisen (If Murray is a Cardinal and compensation isn’t absurd)

Outside of that, no one.
I think Sy is going to go in another direction.

Neither.

borderline kidding, i know he wont be satisfied no matter what haha

3. Haskins or Lock at #17
4. Jones in the 3rd
5. Tyree Jackson in the 4th
Again, I'll be OK with anyone Shurmur picks.
I would not be willing to trade a lot to move up three spots.
If the comp for Rosen is a 3rd then it's worth it because of the lack of cap commitment involved.
I don't see it with Haskins. He throws late.
But If had to go QB Haskins @ 6 and redshirt him is the way to go. Then go BPA rds 1 (17) thru 7.

Sorry, Terps. I spoke for you... ;)
Just wait until next year when the QBs are better to pick one. And besides I'm still guessing Eli's the QB in 2020.

Haskins at 6
Murray at 6
Jones will be nothing, do not draft.
Yes
Not very insightful. I know.
That being said:
1.) Rosen - cheapest and most easily disposable if it fails
2.) Haskins - no trade up
only at #17 or below...
3.) Lock
Finley in the 3rd Round to develop
Those guys have the upside and potential to lead this franchise in 2020.
