Just a thought with statements that have been made, rumors that the Giants are not done dealing yet, etc.
Is it possible that he is trying to use a package of picks/player(s) (Shep maybe?) to try and get 2 picks in the top 10 in order to get a QB and a top Defensive player?
Again, going back to the top of the post, with what he's said about "ideally getting his QB this year" (not exact words I know, but paraphrasing), there being rumors the Giants are not done dealing yet, the need for Eli's successor, the stated likeing the "KC model" (QB sitting for a year behind Eli) and the need for a top front 7 guy.
This is just purely speculative on my part, but got to thinking about all of this today with everything that's been talked about so far.
i am all for the giants trading up to get 2 top 10 picks and then taking 2 defensive studs, but for god's sake leave QB until next year. how come you don't hear any noise about the chargers, saints, patriots or steelers taking a QB? all are as old or older than eli. shit, aaron rodgers will be 36 next fall and people still claim he's the greatest of all time despite his constantly battling nagging injuries that hamper his effectiveness, or missing multiple games with some regularity, and this past season, showing up his head coach and aiding in the cause to get him fired.
why are the giants the only team of all the teams with an aging QB who desperately need to draft one like yesterday? makes zero sense to me.
gettleman is on record saying he believes the narrative on manning over the last 5 years is unfair and inaccurate and basically reflects the fact that the team had crumbled around him. i don't see how that view comports with overdrafting a QB this year, for the sake of it. gettleman is also on record as saying you cant force it, especially at quarterback and he will take the best player available.
tom brady will be 42 this summer. i realize he's benefitted from HGH (oops i mean TB12) but no one is talking about how clueless belichick is for not having the heir apparent on the bench.
No dog whistles with this comment, jesus...

Lol ten cent head sure, but thug? Who the hell gets thug from Kyler Murray? I must have forgot when he cripwalked into the endzone. That isn't a dog whistle it's straight up racist.
We move our #6 ( worth 1600 pts) to Denver for their #10 (1300 pts) and their 3rd round (#71 - 235 pts). A sweet deal for them.
Next we move our #17 (950 pts) + Denvers 3rd round (235 pts) + our last pick in the 5h round (22.6 pts) for Green Bay' #12 (1200 pts) in the 1st round
We then complete fixing our offensive line with (check out my man's Voch Lombardi) evaluating Alabama'a Jonah Williams).

Then at 12, we pick up the best TE in the house - (possibly a future ALL PRO) - Iowa's TJ Hockenson.
The rest of the draft- fix the defense
Quinnen Williams is possibly THE best player on the board and Jawaan Taylor is top ten all the way
