I guess this is technically not a cover but a performance by someone else on a singing competition show but this blew me away... any other performances or covers people are enjoying? Link - ( New Window )

Their version of Take on me is incredible. Weezer - Take on me - ( New Window )
Their cover of Africa was lame, basically the same as the original and not as good.
Was way late to the party on Chris Stapleton as I'm not a country music fan. Came across this shortly after Prince died and turned me on to his music. Best version of this song and probably my choice for best cover all time. Chris Stapleton covering "Nothing Compares to You" - ( New Window )
Meghan Trainor's song is okay. Not my cup of tea. However, Postmodern Jukebox's cover makes it much more to my liking. Stripped down jazz version. Very cool IMHO. All About the Bass - ( New Window )
I heard it for the first time within the last 6 months. The Interrupters covering The 11th Hour by Rancid.
Tim Armstrong from Rancid produced their latest release. Good cover.
Aimee Allen (aka Aimee Interrupter) is one of the most talented artists who is not very well known. Good to see them have some success finally.
I'll have to check it out. Tim Armstrong is one of my favorite artists. The Interrupters music I've heard stands out against most other ska bands. Her singing is a big part of it.
Another good recent cover is
Against Me! covering "People Who Died." I never heard the original until I looked it up after hearing the cover. Good idea for a song.
by Disturbed is the best cover I've heard in a long while.
It is a great cover. But the live version they did on Conan in 2016 is much better than the recorded version they did IMO. Disturbed - Sound of Silence - Conan - ( New Window )

Here is an old version (few years ago) that Grace Vanderwaal did before she became popular through America's Got Talent. I like it as it is just an innocent girl strumming her Uke with her dog on the front porch. All About The Bass
Also if you like reggae and or any of the artists they cover Â
Easy Star Dub Allstars are fantastic. Truly amazing covers of classics that you'd normally say "dont touch that song!" but every song is fantastic. Very stoner but fantastic productions & adaptations nonetheless
Dub Side of the Moon - full Dark Side reggae'd out, OK Computer - Radiohead (Paranoid Andriod is amazing, linked below). Looking now they did some Beatles, Thriller.. there's a ton if you search their name on Youtube
but if you like Motley Crue covers (their songs covered by others), there was a period of time where a lot of newer pop/punk bands covered on with the show one of my favorites and an older Crue song
Get up kids did the best IMO. Ataris was good too, but Get up kids better.
Sublime covering the Dead's Scarlet Begonias Link - ( New Window )
YES - great song
Sublime covers that I love (your fault for bringing them up!):
1. 5446 was my Number / Ball & Chain (Toots & the Maytals, the first half of the song is the cover)
2. Trenchtown Rock (Marley)
3. Steppin Razor (Peter Tosh - tho his might be better)
4. We're Only Gonna Die From Our Own Arrogance (Bad Religion)
Valerie - Amy Winehouse (The Zutons...really good pop rock song, but I know nothing else by them. Still she takes it to this great loungy style. There's also an upbeat version of her song with Mark Ronson)
Thank You - Chris Cornell (Zeppelin. Awesome ballad that was simply done in another awesome way by a sick vocalist)

Well original was a sappy lame ballad pretty hard to do worse IMO
Ann and Nancy Wilson of heart with Jason bonham covers stairway to heaven at the Kennedy center tribute for Led Zeppelin in front of Robert plant jimmy page and John Paul Jones .
As one of the comments states “that’s not a song it’s a religious experience” Link - ( New Window )
I didn't know the original, but literally just stumbled on this. I haven't gotten way into Bradley but love the vox & old school bluesy vibe. Another James Brown-esque sound comp, my 2nd in 10 min apparently

Anyway - here's one I like - not necessarily a great cover but mostly because I really like both the band and the song they covered.

This was "fantastic". Seriously, well done.
