Before DG Everyone knew who the Giants wanted in the Draft.
This year every post has a different player that they are targeting. Great. lot of Fun speculating.
I just hope they make the right decision, whomever they draft.
In my opinion, gettleman identified our drafting strategy as a whole as a problem and is deliberately doing things differently (info leaked, evaluation process, draft strategy). I think it was evident when Ross got shown the door. And to his credit last years draft on the surface so far looks to be a success. He NEEDS this year to be as big a hit if not a bigger hit in my opinion. As I have stated before I have decided to hold off judgement untill I see where this takes us. In the coach's world we say winning solves ALOT of problems.
on Pro Day attendance, the Giants sent a pretty loud message yesterday.
With the #6 pick in hand, I would hope there would be a Giants presence at ALL the pro days for any player projected in the top 10-15, especially the QB's! Even if you know your not interested....no reason to telegraph that to the rest of the teams. Make it look like they are strongly interested in as many players as possible.
You'd be hard pressed to make the case that much has changed in that respect.
Maybe, but given how high they are picking at least some of the fans and press will guess correctly. There are only a limited number of choices and QB is an obvious need. That doesn't mean they telegraphed the pick.
It's so hard to find a good 1st year RT in the draft, we need to get one in FA. Securing that piece really fortifies the O-Line and allows us to put that out of our mind as a need in the draft (can still draft a center like McCoy in the 2nd or Piersbacher(sp?) in the 4th though if the value/need combo is good there).
They're doing their due diligence.. When you're buying a car you don't only test drive one do you?
NYG did it last year and they are doing it again. Had they drafted Rosen everyone would be pointing to the contingency that accompanied him and the visits as well as the comments from Gettleman and Shurmur that would've supported the pick.
When the draft rolls around next year, the same will happen again. Everyone will point to the visits that happened this year and who attended.. They'll pick out comments from pressers that best connect the draft pick and feel they have some inside clue as to the direction they'll go..
Never has the B.S. from the media and misinformation been more rampant.
while at the same time quoting JT? If JonC and JT are in the know, it’s clearly not a well kept secret what we do. They are posting said information here, so who else finds out about things we do?
reason this year is different is not the Giants throwing a smoke screen, but more likely the Giants themselves don't know who they'll pick--yet.Will one of the big three drop? Will Rosen come free?
I think its Lock... PS likes a QB who can move a bit..

Move and run are two different things. Haskins can move
Lol right? I've been making the case that if isn't Haskins Bravo on the smokescreen.
I know, right. The Giants did everything except for pose for photos with Haskins' family.
Too loud. :)

How does it defer from last year where they attended all the top QB's pro days?
Loud enough that I actually wonder if it was intentional.
Then it behooves them to do everything they can to get two QBs picked ahead of them.

LMAO I don't know why this made me laugh so hard.
#2 is 2600, while # 6 is 1600 + #17 is 950=2550

The draft chart is outdated ever since comp picks have been tradeable and ever since the rookie pay scale was implemented

I'm leaning towards that theory also
