Kerry Wynn is visiting the Bengals today, per source. Versatile defensive lineman and good special-teamer. Giants also remain in the mix

Wynn was one of two Giants free agents to visit the Bengals today, joining S Curtis Riley, per source. Bengals DC Lou Anarumo coached Riley last season in New York.
get pressure on the QB
OLD NEWS: The Patriots hosted restricted free agent DE Kerry Wynn on a visit Wednesday, per source.
It seems easy to replace a guy like Wynn, but it's not as easy as it looks. It's easy to draft or sign a guy whom you hope will be as good, or who you think should be as good, but he's overachieved while a lot of draft picks underachieve.
Riley, on the other hand, would be much more valuable to the GIANTS by signing with any other NFL team because he's a terrible DB and he'd help the G-men in the comp pick equation for next spring.
Maybe not best defensive player but I agree. He was a bright spot and I'm surprised how little BBI thinks of him.
I would certainly prefer hanging on to Wynn than a B.W. Webb
Need to draft l3 D-Linemen.

Ditto
Because if he is your best defensive player( I disagree), then you are an awful, putrid, team
I'd love to hear that argument. Wasn't even the best DL (pre or post Snacks).
He was a bright spot because he vastly surpassed expectations for him. But those expectations were extremely low for most. Almost every starter was better than him though, however, the perception of those players is likely lower because expectations were significantly higher.
Wynn's valuable on a cheap deal as your 4th/5th DL (assuming a 34 front) and special teams player. Your D likely isn't very good if he's getting starters snaps though.
Guy tries and it jumps off the screen.
I don’t see why we wouldn’t have interest, but I trust the evaluators.
But the Giants need to get away from players like this........let's go find young guys in the draft on rook contracts.
Our DL at this time is the thinnest part of our roster and I expect us to to heavy (and big) there............

He makes 2-3 impact plays per game when he’s in there (in limited time) and seems to fit the hustle and professionalism DG is looking for.
I suspect he'll end up somewhere else because the Giants won't (and probably shouldn't) give him the raise he's earned.
If he only played during the regular season like he does in preseason.....
I'm just saying, we need to upgrade at just about every position on this team....in his case, how hard should that be?
He is what he is.....he has played up to his potential....I think he is going from team to team, because this might be his last contract, and he wants to get as much as possible....who can blame him for that? I am sure the Giants made an offer....probably low balled him.....
We can replace OBj, but we can't replace Wynn?

And not to put too fine a point on it, but they're not going to "replace" OBJ except in the sense that someone else will be the X receiver. His production is all but irreplaceable. You could get a Pro Bowl receiver and still not have replaced OBJ's production. But you know, the graveyards are full of irreplaceable men. Emlen Tunnell was irreplaceable. Gifford, Tittle, Simms, LT, Carson, Strahan, all irreplaceable. Life goes on.
