$10M per episode, same as Game of Thrones with a fraction of the audience. Definitely not in their best financial interest to continue.
I can see that...the one good thing about a "short run" series is that it's less of a time constraint to go back and watch it again. I just did that with Deadwood and I think it may be time to do that same with Rome in the near future.
can't wait for this.
The only downside is I now have an unnatural hatred for Trixie because her character on Ray Donovan was so f-ing annoying. I hope she dies.

Yep and Yep.
Sopranos
Six Feet Under
Deadwood
Sopranos
Six Feet Under
Deadwood
All three great shows, and add in the Wire, from that same era.
But those three shows were not on in sequence. Six Feet Under had a summer season once Deadwood came out, Deadwood and Sporanos winter/spring.
Sex and the City was on before Six Feet Under.
And I believe Entourage was on after Six Feet Under.
not that it matters.
Back then HBO had awesome shows on every season.
It was just too expensive to keep filming

Rome...loved that show and ended too early.
