Yes, this had nothing to do with the Giants trading him. The Lil Wayne interview though, different story, that was pretty bad. The crazy thing is if he would have just kept it quiet this year he’d be in a great spot. Our line is better (assuming we address right tackle soon), we have possibly the best RB in the game, and a QB that can still thrive in play action. And a great market for someone’s “brand” like NY.

I still wonder if Barkley becoming the face of the franchise was too much for him to tolerate, like it happened faster than he expected.

Once I saw it was scripted I wasn't so impressed. I guess I was a bit naive to think they were coming up with that on the spot.
