Banks understands the anger of the fan base.
Fans are very upset. Listen, I cant tell em not to be. The only way to calm down the masses is to put a winner out on the field. hopefully that happens sooner than later.
Banks has been outspoken is saying the he likes the acquisition of Jabrill Peppers, a major part of the Beckham deal.
Im excited about it. When you look at what the Giants got for Odell they got another first round draft choice because thats in essence what he (Peppers) is. Hes a first-round draft choice that you know can play as opposed to the guys you re going to be getting in this draft. I like it.
Banks stands behind the Giants decision to stick with Manning.
I think the Giants are more than OK going forward with him. I have no problem saying that I am an Eli Manning fan.
Banks said its not the case that Manning doesnt have it anymore.
The narrative tells you hes done, but when you look at the second half of the season hes far from done.
Banks also said it was mind-boggling how so much of the fan base has turned on Manning.
Ive never seen a fan base turn so vehemently against one of their best players in franchise history. I dont even blame them. I blame them for drinking or intaking everything that they see on national broadcasts. If someone who is supposed to be smart says Elis not that good, time for him to go, its over, then all of a sudden everybody else is parroting that narrative. Thats just not the case. They could do a lot worse, I can tell you that.

Colts DC Matt Eberflus did a great job of manufacturing pass rush late last season, via twists and stunts and blitzing cornerback Kenny Moore. It worked fairly well, but Colts didn't have a guy who routinely won 1v1s. Justin Houston changes that. 30 sacks in his last 43 games

If he does, hell receive a $45,000 bonus and then have a base salary of $1.03 million. In New York, Rodgers-Cromartie had a good reputation for how he dealt with the young defensive backs. Considering Washington has three corners entering their second year that should help. Josh Norman is not that sort of mentor for the young players. If one of those young corners, notably Adonis Alexander, shows great improvement -- or if they somehow drafted a corner in the early rounds -- the Redskins could always move on from Norman and his $14.5 million cap hit with veteran insurance. Such talk is premature and also relies on Rodgers-Cromartie having something to offer. For now, hes just a low-cost signing.

One of the things I dont see mentioned enough is Kyler Murrays accuracy vs the field. While other prospects get the ball to the receiver, Murray pinpoints throws at the highest % that allow his intended receiver to make the most after the catch. At all levels of the field, too

Seen a whole lot of BS/hate on QB Dan Jones. Think some developmental aspects for sure, but the biggest concern I have is vs VT 8:59 2Q. Those that missed his SB Wed practice picks, it is this play(11 yard out to 2), extra hitches/drifts as he is late and safety undercuts for PBU

in SB practice i may have been to 1 (and was picked), but either way it seems a play speed issue to timing/rhythm routes, and the drift rears its head from time to time(footwork iconsistent) Ironically this out is Murray's best anticipation throw.Point is I dont see massive holes

that many are claiming. Not saying hes going near round 1, he just has traits that many wil like in development and will see a clear path to QB2 as a floor. This whole search for "FQB" misses the point a lot of good teams bolster their QB rooms' talent w/picks like Jones

Saw an emphasis in the Temple game w/much cleaner footwork at top of drop and +timing. Needs further consistency but tape shows he can do it. Stark contrast to Clemson game where he had many issues

Very good, able to flash AA to avoid rush, as well as throw runners ball to WR screens. Duke PB was limited, saw Bubble/Arrow screens a lot and OFTEN leading WRs in right direction at proper level

+ Deep Throws w/Touch
Prob his best throw, ability to locate wheels, deep overs, fades where it needs to be. Resorted to isolation throws in Clemson game, believe this is a comfort zone for him. WRs will like this confidence to let them make a play

Shows arm talent to drive balls w/ ++ placement when pressured in boot even if no part of his body is going down hill. Will come in handy at next leveL

- On the Drift/Hitches
Most often on throws to left between 11-20 yards to the FIELD. Do NOT think its an arm talent issue, but a bad habit, that caused some sacks. This shows even on short in breaking routes., lengthening his stride & causing further issues in timing

Even w/improvement in season, still see issues staying on schedule. Habits (burping baby, eye discipline) need to improve. Quick feet give insight that this can develop at the next level

- Pocket Presence
Relies on Play Strength/toughness too much after drop, & not enough of pocket mobility(i.e. Shuffle etc) to secure throwing lanes. Does not feel pressure w/eyes consistently. Think this can improve w/coaching emphasis

Overall can be too aggressive w/against the grain throws on the move and situational football. Like his ability off schedule (speed and ability to throw on run), but needs to hone escape, evade, throw away vs. careless play

Conclusion: After 3 games of tape study opinion really has not changed. Raw in a lot of areas but shows promise with some key traits. Dont see a 1st rounder, but a QB with a clear path to QB2. Think more highly of him after game tape then SB practice tape

Much will depend on non tape items like his taking to coaching. Interestingly and I dont have the background but he was calledout by cutcliffe(I think) in regards for his toughness. The dude is plenty tough, needs coaching to be more refined in pocket, etc

Its social media. The same thing applies to politics. People see shit on Twitter or FB or whatever and just react like a bunch of brainless idiots without getting all the facts.

For context, this data is similar to QB hand size, IMO. Higher number doesn't = better QB. But hitting a certain threshold (52 MPH) is what NFL teams want to see. This year's numbers won't move anyone up/down draft boards
