He pulled his shirt up a few times to wipe the sweat from his brow too, and his belly looked a little doughy - you'd think he'd have done something about that before the biggest day of his life to date.
Also not sure if people comparing him to Stafford are meaning it as a slight. Stafford was highly rated out of college and has had a good pro career. We could surely do a lot worse with out next QB pick.
RE: I’ll be the first to say I might be nitpicking Â
When asked how he felt he performed, he said he’s going to be the same guy, regardless if it’s a game, a practice or this (pro day)
Moments later he said that 3 of the guys he hadn’t worked with much, other than a ‘rinky dink throwing session’
So, which is it? Same guy during practice, or a rinky dink throwing session? Or no?
I think this is some grade A nit picking here. Sam Darnold said "im just going to be myself no matter what" about 15 times during his interviews. Nobody questioned that...

I think a mix between Stafford and Cutler is a good thing. Hoping for more on the Stafford side..
I said this in another thread, but if you want to dream big... i.e.. Patrick Mahomes, Lock is probably the guy to take that swing on.
The inconsistency is a concern - and you aren't going to see that when you watch highlight reels.
The thing with Lock is that if you watch the good stuff, you'll see tons of absolutely gorgeous throws - he has a rocket. I love the arm talent he has.
But, he does lack short game touch/accuracy - this is an area where I think Barkley would benefit much more by playing with Haskins since Haskins is so good near the LOS and within 10 yards.
Lock has a "wow" factor when you watch him throw the football - but Josh Allen did also. You need it to be consistent. Otherwise, he'll frustrate the shit out of you.
I do like Lock quite a bit more than Allen as a QB prospect.
BPA defense @ 6 and Lock @ 17 is a first round I could be on board with. I like Haskins and Murray more - but I don't think we'll have a shot at Murray - much like we didn't have a shot at Mayfield. So, that's more than likely moot.

Stanford is one of my favorite quarterbacks in this league. Be thrilled if Giants got someone like him
but, I don't think his throwing motion is as "natural" as Haskins. Looks like he is thinking too much or something.
I'm not sure what you are watching. Lock's throwing motion is a lot more economical and textbook than Haskins's longer wind-up. Haskins looks like he is throwing a javelin compared to Lock.
Has nice arm.....he can rifle throws in there. It’ll be interesting to see where he gets drafted. I’d be ok if it were the Giants. I don’t think he’ll be there at 17 however.
Easily! If Raiders take DL or OL, would be okay if Miami trades up with Giants and Giants take Lock at 12 if Miami wants Haskins. Would hope Gettelman gets fired if Jones is even the pick at 17.

I thought Lock's throwing motion was textbook. Very compact and easy.

Bringing this back, huh? You all ended up sounding real bright with Beckham.

It's not too hard to imagine Osi type DE's getting some strip sacks off of Haskins. But he processes the field quickly and has really good vision as a counter to that.
and then get him somewhere else. If they need to move up from 17, they can do that.
You would risk Denver taking him at 10? You think you can pass at 6 and jump back in at 8 or 9?
Good luck with that. If they like him, they pull the trigger at 6. Anything else depends on luck to get Lock.
You get Hernandez with luck, not your next franchise QB IMO.
Denver just got Flacco. I don't think they want Lock. And if they do, maybe we dodge a bullet. Elway's track record with QBs is horrible.
I'm a Haskins guy but if the Giants prefer Lock, to me the risk is Miami, not Denver. They have the juice to move ahead of them I think, if they really want to.
Spending 5 years acting like an obsessive lunatic just to eventually arrive at a point where you can say "I was right!" to a bunch of strangers on a message board sounds like a fairly large waste of time to me.
I can't imagine it was worth it. I'd much rather have been wrong about the outcome of a football player than have let him consume me the way you let Beckham consume you all these years.
He made you miserable. You let a football player do that to you.

That's a good point, actually. It could be a flaw in his mechanics that gets exploited.

That sums it up better than anything I could add - this is exactly right.

I thought the same thing.
It isn't - Lock pats the ball before he throws it most of the time - it adds a tiny hitch/extra split second to his motion.
You'll notice Haskins really doesn't do this.
Lock's arm is more live than Haskins' but Haskins is a more natural passer and is more accurate. Especially short/mid.

He looked smooth passing out of the pocket.
Also prefer a defensive stud at 6/17.
But, I will defer to the Giants

Haskins looks like he's trying to throw hard. Which is fine. Lock just naturally throws hard...

As effortless as Rosen's.

They appear they love Haskins, and I'd feel really good about him at 6. But if Haskins is gone by 6, I feel pretty much the same way about Lock.
Both of them have the goods to be top 10 QBs in the NFL and to lead a team to a Lombardy IMO.

You casting a bunch of stuff at a wall and crowing about being right when something sticks is a telegraphed move.
