Hopefully this means that they are seriously considering breaking camp with Guillorme rather than Hechavarra

Theoretically DeGrom should get slightly less thanks to the extra year of control since he's signed for 2020 but yeah should be pretty close.
Davis and Hech can all be outrighted without any say if the Mets pay them 100,000. Davis of course could opt to retire/not report as he claims he will do.
Sooooo excited to see him on the bump every five days again.
To be fair, he looked good all game expect for a few ABs. Even made some real good hitter look silly.
And Diaz came in and was hit HARD by the bottom of that same lineup. EvenFamilia wasnt sharp until his last pitch.
I only caught one game and it was one of the so so ones. I am hoping the last couple are anomalies but that trade is an unmitigated disaster if he takes a big step back of those loose bodies in his elbow start barking.
and saw Diaz pitch. There were a couple of smoked balls, a double right off the bat, and then a few softly hit singles. They seemed to be jumping on him early in the count. the inning was not slow, it was boom, hit hit hit hit. His stuff looked pretty much in line with all spring. 95-97 (which I think is down) and slider which didn't look super sharp. A few hits were on his slider.
Familia, despite loading the bases, looked very good. Lets of swings and misses, was throwing harder. Batters did not look comforable against him.
Nimmo and Conforto are in for good seasons; Guillmore could be a suprise add to the bench as he looks pretty good. I think Lagares shouldn't make the team.

Hopefully this means that they are seriously considering breaking camp with Guillorme rather than Hechavarra
