I thought I noticed it when I watched him

a little bit live during the season, but watching this confirms it. His footwork is awful. He must have great arm strength, cause he doesn't throw with his legs very much.

and have never watched one of his videos before, but it came up automatically after I watched the first video. I thought he had some good analysis and was pretty fair in his assessment. Figured I would share the link in case anyone had some free time. Haskins analysis - ( New Window )

Great video...found another one by the same guy with a great breakdown of Eli, OBJ and what he thinks the Giants should going forward...definitely recommend it!

Finally got around to watching this, and for me it just confirms

what I saw in thin slicing perspective from watching OSU games live.

He jumps off the tape as something completely different from what I expected from an OSU or Justin Meyers QB.

Remarkably accurate throws time and time again into tight windows all over the field, nice array of power vs touch throws even both together.
Cool under pressure, always looking to throw rather than run very good down field and sideline to sideline vision.
Nice footwork within the pocket and a decent feel which way to hop, skip or slide, although occasionally he gets away with some really bad decisions about how and where to move when flushed.

I'm not going to call out specific posters that have been knocking him for various issues, but if you don't see a top 5 pick talent at QB in him, you really have problems evaluating QB talent.

And the narrative about him having "all day" in the pocket is utter BS. LOTS of that tape is under duress, he's just so cool about it - most of the time- you don't notice it. Look at the tape vs Maryland where OSUs D tried to hand away that win drive after 4th qtr drive. Haskins stepped up and won that game for OSU, almost single handedly.

He's the goods and the Gmen will be very very fortunate to land him at 6. To hell with the narrative that "he didn't start enough games." Bullshit. You really don't need to see more of him, and if he did stay and more or less repeat that performance he'd be spoken of as potentially #1 overall, even with Tua, Fromm, and Herbert in play. Don't over think it, or him. Granted it's highlights...

If you don't see that...

thinking more like Derrick Coleman.

I've never seen a QB so out of shape. I think he was sweating in some of those plays!!!

Byron Leftwich .....
The release does remind me of Rivers a bit .
Dwayne Washington the Pearl
No QB specific info

This should be required reading for the entire board and should once and for all end all the negative naysayers who obviously want Miller even though he will be selected at one. Just like Mayfield May have been our guy last year, he was selected one, so move on to the number two or three guy.
