Also with the kind of jump they'd have to make, how big would the price be?
I could see DaveTe's rumor being true that we are considering moving up to #4 but I think it would be for Dwayne.
'No guts, no glory' as DG said. Now maybe Oak only sells the pick if Q.Will is gone b/c Mayock sees what a stud this kid is.
If we want Dwayne unless the Jets want to put the screws to us, I think we can get him because we would be giving the team we trade up with the best pick (#6) over any other team that could potentially want him.
I don't know how big the threat will be to lose out on Dwayne.
Tampa also could be a big time candidate for a trade partner if the big 3 blue chip defenders are gone by their pick: Q.Will, Boas, Allen.
#13 Miami (may want to tank this year and got Fitzy for QB)
#11 Bengals (could be our biggest threat but they are 5 spots below us)
#15 Washington (another threat but 9 spots below us)
#10 Elway got Flacco and are heavily rumored to love Lock.
Tampas board may flatten greatly after Q.Will,Bosa and Allen are gone (depending on how highly they rank D.White)
The Rosen trade may very well happen prior to the draft. Taking another team out of the running for Haskins.
Those teams will have to forego a blue-chip defender. Arizona will do it for Murray. But would one of those teams be willing to pass up one of Q.Will, Bosa, or Allen? Oak is possible but they have a legit still young Qb in Carr and Gruden is good with vet Qbs. Tampa is an interesting spot because the 3 blue-chip guys could be gone by the time they pick. They could ransom the pick to us for a 2nd or 3rd. It has happened many times before (moving up one spot that is).
The reason the Bucs worry me, is not because they'll take Haskins, but they look like a team willing to trade down to 10,11,13,15 for extra picks.
Seriously, stop it with the stupidity. It’s just idiotic.

Exactly.
I don’t see anyone trade ups either. No guts no glory could be DGs way of saying he’s going to gamble, stay at six and pray Haskins or even murray last that long. Murray won’t. Haskins very well could. After six and Haskins you get your cake and eat it too with a full array of picks. I might be down with rolling the dice. Worst comes to worse you take the bpa at six if both QBs are gone. Move on.
I’m never one to begrudge a trade up for a qb but this time around I think I want the giants to roll the dice and stay at 6, even if they are madly in love with Haskins.

are Oakland and Tampa. But, my gut tells me that they stick with their current QBs. Both the NY Jets and Oakland have a chance to take a Blue Chipper on D and I see Tampa taking Devin White. I also agree with Robbie's argument. It's going to take an awful lot to trade up. Not saying that some team is going to jump ahead of the Giants, and if it does happen, I would start pursuing a trade for Rosen, assuming the Cardinals take Murray.

It absolutely should for the Cardinals to get the maximum return for him.
Exactly.
If another team wants to give up assets to get Haskins, let them. We can take at op D guy in that case. It really becomes a net positive for us, and this is coming from a guy who wouldn't mind taking Haskins at 6.
The team I am most worried about though is Oakland. I’m not sold on them being committed to Carr, but I know Mayock had positive things to say about him prior to landing the GM gig. Hopefully his opinion hasn’t changed.
I would be totally shocked if they did.
I really hope grown men retire the childish "throw the remote" to express their dislike of a NFL draft pick they know nothing about. It's 2019 so why don't we say "run to twitter and write something reactionary and stupid" instead?
1 QB who will likely be taken #1 and is considered a dynamic player.
These guys very likely go 1-4. Which makes #5 where the drop of blue to red chip is.
However Haskins will be a top rated QB on some people's boards which makes #5 a high value to a team that would want Haskins.
So unless Tampa has a guy like Greedy, White, Sweat, or Gary much higher than the other 'red' chippers they will likely be very willing to trade out of the spot.
I think Tampa is the team we would need to trade up to. 1 spot but the price that high up in the draft could cost a 3rd or maybe even a future 2nd. 'NO guts, no glory'
From SI:
GRUDEN LOVES LOCK?: Raiders fans hated when I mocked Missouri quarterback Drew Lock to the Raiders with the fourth overall pick. So in order to continue to rub in the controversial notion that Oakland may draft a rookie quarterback and trade Derek Carr… I recently spoke to another prospect who played on the Senior Bowl’s North team, coached by Jon Gruden. He said that Gruden really, really liked Lock. The word “love” was used to describe Gruden’s perceived feelings toward the Missouri QB. Our Robert Klemko did a nice story on the benefit teams get from coaching the Senior Bowl. And I continue to believe that Lock to the Raiders could happen

With all the needs they have, they should trade out of #1.

This would be my dream scenario...all three QB’s drafted before we pick and we come away with an elite player.
Theyve been openly talking up QB last year as opposed to last year. Eli is on last year of contract and is 39.
You can also see they really like Haskins. I wouldn't call it a foregone conclusion but a very high possibility.

I don’t see any reason for the Cardinals to trade Rosen before the draft. His value remains the same, and it just announces their intentions early, and allows more maneuvering behind them.

Depends on how you look at it.
