This year is tough because I typically absolutely hate Duke - can't stand them. But, as a (likely delusional) Knicks fan... I still like to envision Zion or Barrett @ MSG later this year. So part of me kind of wants to pull for those guys.
But.. if they wind up making an early exit out of this thing, it won't bother me at all.

So fouls in the paint at 60% get extra shots? Off-balance perimeter shot fouls get one shot ? Fast breaks (that aren't technicals) get 4 shots?

Wow relax. You are way over-analyzing. Yes, a foul on a shot gives you equal opportunity at the FT line to get the points you would have if you make the shot

Zion will be a franchise player in the NBA barring injuries. The only weaknesses in his game are outside shooting and foul shooting and those can be improved over time. I think Ja might be the better pro though because the NBA is a guard's league now

A good friend of mine who is way more invested in the NBA/NCAA than I am at this point also thinks Zion is going to.... I don't want to say "flop"... but, not be a franchise player and not be as good as he's being projected because he thinks the NBA game has changed in a way where Zion's skillset is going to be less effective.
But, I think he's shown just enough of a stroke where I can see him developing a decent enough shot to keep teams honest. The athleticism and raw ability is just too good for me to be convinced that he won't hit at the next level.
Barrett feels slightly safer - but if you have the 1st pick - and if it's the Knicks, we have to take Zion.
That said, I just need us in the top 3. Any of Williamson, Barrett, Morant and I'm thrilled.

Oregon has been on a tear lately. Competition aside, when you look at adjusted efficiency metrics (like Bart Torivk's site), over the past month, Oregon ranks 4th in the country going 10-0 with the best defense in the country. It took time for them to adjust without Bol Bol, but they are clicking and they have some "big moment" players in Wooten and Pritchard

A good bit of Oregon's offense is in transition. They really looked pretty bad in Harcourt. Gonna be a whole lot harder to pile up a bunch of fast break alleyoops on UVA.
but their defense has been phenomenal over the last month, regardless of the competition. Their match-up zone with 3 guys at 6'9 and perhaps the best shot-blocker in basketball has been great.
These refs better hope Tennessee wins.
