How will Odell do in Cleveland?

O Butter Giants 2019 : 3/24/2019 6:03 pm
So I was walking around last night and was pretty bored taking endangered species animal quizzes and I began to think how will Odell do in Cleveland? Will he post better numbers now that he has a "real and young" QB throwing him the ball?

Do you think he'll wind up with 20 TDs?

What about his injuries? Will they pile up in 2019? If you think so, how many games will he have played this next upcoming year? Imagine if it were the same numbers as Eli lol
I think if him and Mayfield gel

I could see 100+ ypg and a td per game
Here is my guess
O Butter Giants 2019 : 3/24/2019 6:09 pm : link
hot start, like 7 touchdowns and things are on fire..

then injured for a chunk of games in week 6
He'll feel right at home in the dog pound

So many questions with OBJ. I think that's why he was traded.
Ira : 3/24/2019 6:31 pm : link
My guess is that he'll have an outstanding year with Cleveland, but in the 2nd or 3rd year, the new marriage will start to unravel.

If the 2016 Beckham walks in.
Heís going to draw the same attention from NFL defenses
BSIMatt : 3/24/2019 6:36 pm : link
So I donít think he will necessarily put up better numbers, probably numbers on par with his first couple years, provided he stays on the field.
So far he started by basically saying..

that he does not want to be in Cleveland.

It depends how many games he plays - Beckham is no longer a guy you can count on for 16 a year. He's missed an entire seasons' worth of games in the past 2 years.

That said, if he's healthy and he plays most/all of the season...

I'd say something like...

85-90 receptions, ~1200 yards, 9 TD's

Landry has always been a target hog, so I don't think Beckham sees 150+ there despite being the superior player.
he could easily blow up
markky : 3/24/2019 7:01 pm : link
in the first year - either through injury or immaturity. i wouldn't count on this working out.

I'll be routing for him, especially to mature. but there's no guarantee.

He was not happy that he did not have a say in where he would get traded to. Look it up yourself.

What else can you draw from that other than the fact that he wanted to be somewhere else?
He will put up numbers

nothing, just the weird cryptic stuff he put on his Instagram.

He said he was looking forward to moving on. Usually when someone says they're unhappy or post something someone else said, they have um, like a source?

Cleveland is going to be an interesting follow this year... they have a lot of talent, but I think they have the wrong coach.

Kitchens has zero HC experience (unless you count his associate title in Cleveland from last year) - not even in college. And he's even limited as a coordinator. The vast majority of his coaching career has been as a position coach.

I think for a team to succeed with all of these personalities, you need a coach with a track record and actual experience. Otherwise, the first sign of turbulence is probably going to be harder to work through than it should be.

Even the team doesn't have many vets or guys to lean on... Joe Thomas would have been great for that, but now he's gone.

All of their skill guys are young... Mayfield, Chubb, Njoku, Hunt (when he's off SUSP), Beckham, Landry, Callaway.. Beckham and Landry are literally the "vets" in that group.

Even defensively they're very young and inexperienced with guys like Garrett, Ward, Ogunjobi...

They let Jaime Collins go.

It reminds me a lot of the failed Juan Castillo experiment in PHI. They had a lot of personalities there that year... Reid was still the coach, but Casillo had basically no experience coaching defense in like 20 years. They weren't "awful" but, relative to expectations, that 2011 Eagles team was a disappointment. They finished strong so it covered up that they were 4-8 through 12 games and nowhere near the team people had them slated to be after 2010 and the offseason they had.

Last year, the obviously lost Zeitler, and are replacing him with a 2nd round draft pick that was chosen by the new regime. Will be interesting to see how loss of Zeitler impacts the oline in Cleveland.

Outside of LA he likely would have made that statement regardless. I donít think he doesnít want to be in cleveland, I think heís pissed he didnít get to control his fate. To date heís been in control, until he wasnít.

He gets to play with his best friend and what should be a dynamic offense. He will probably enjoy it.
I think he could have a great year...
bw in dc : 3/24/2019 8:07 pm : link
because the secondaries of Pitt, Cincy and even Baltimore arenít great. And I think that Browns OL may be the best blocking unit, too.

But as arc mentioned OBJ is getting less and less dependable as a player.

Not only health wise, but his focus.
if he stays healthy..
FranchiseQB : 3/24/2019 8:30 pm : link
Beckham has at worst an excellent year. he's too talented. 80 receptions and 1200 yards. At worst. Of course there is a chance he has a phenomenal year if he comes all the way back from leg woes.
Chances are he'll set records

He'll be in the top 10 of WRs, but also sit out a few games with injury, get frustrated and have some media spats.
I think OBj
Doomster : 3/24/2019 9:58 pm : link
will want to prove the Giants wrong, and try to have a big year.....whether he can physically do it, remains to be seen....

I think OBj is his own worst enemy......if he can get his head on straight, stay healthy, and be a team player, there is no telling what he might accomplish....but his track record makes it a tough road to follow....

Yes it does, that's an idiotic comment. City absolutely matters, no matter what Twitter tells you. There are how many papers in NYC that cover the Giants and how many in Cleveland that cover the Browns? More reporters means more followers, means more takes means more attention. The internet doesn't make population irrelevant no matter what you dopey people think or say. JFC you're a moron. Why has everyone gone fucking stupid?

I think he'll do well, but not anything earth shattering. There are a lot of weapons in Cleveland and whining to Mayfield about not getting the ball enough probably won't go over well. The Browns will definitely be interesting to watch this year

I'll say it's really a toss up and it could go either way.
USAF NYG Fan : 3/25/2019 4:54 am : link

This could end up being a humbling experience for him. It could mature him up a bit. Being away from the bright lights of NYC might be just what the doctor ordered. If that's the case, he could start playing hard every play again. He could focus on getting the Browns into the playoffs and beyond.

or ....

He could have trouble moving past this. Hate the fact that he's in Cleveland now. His ego could be just as inflated over there. His injury issues could be just as relevant with the Browns. He could still get double teamed into rarely seeing the ball thrown his way. He could worry more about getting a new contract than he does about football.

He was on track for a HOF career and being able to finally play with a QB in his prime will take his production to the next level. The only caveat is whether he can stay on the field.

Cleveland should score a ton of points and OBJ will be a big part of that.

I'm not saying..
FatMan in Charlotte : 3/26/2019 8:29 am : link
it will happen, but he's going to be in a division with notoriously dirty defenses/players in Pitts, Cincy and Baltimore.

I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't get a couple of cheap shots his way. Heck, a leg whip ended his season last year. What's going to happen if some guy on the Steelers or Ravens targets him low?
He will be a huge target of the defense
TMS : 3/26/2019 3:12 pm : link
like Bryant, who was just as good and a lot bigger. They took him out; think OBJ is at risk here. Hope not, he is certainly a special in talent,
