and the more I read I would be thrilled if it worked out this way
1. Trade our 2nd round pick for Rosen. I was high on Rosen last year and I have not changed my mind.
2 pick #6 draft Devin White lber LSU. This kid will be a beast.
3. pick 17 draft Celin Ferrel DE Clemson. The more I read and watch on him the more excited I get. I would even be ok with trading up a spot or two to get him.
If he goes early then I am all for drafting a Rt. Dillard, Little or Ford will all be there with Taylor and Williams going first. Dillard would be my top choice. I think he is a RT hog mollie.
We improve our def with two first round talents and get our qb of the future.
So I have stated...So let it be done!!!!
However, I'd go ER/OLB at #6. Not sold on White although watching other teams with speedster ILBs is pretty eye opening.
Then I'd get a RT at #17 unless another defender is more highly rated.
Draft the best DLs and safety and reinforce the OL (draft or trade picks for vet OL, and just leave it all on the field this year. Worry about the future next year, we could all be dead by then anyway.
I would go heavy defense....would live to move up to get Q. Williams and follow it uo with B.Burns.
Still holding out hope for Mike Remmers to secure RT. His actions since his Giants visit indicates some kind of informal deal was struck.
Go for N. Adderlly or best FS in the 3rd round....
Devin White
Cody Ford

However, I think it's imperative that the Giants use at least one of their first three draft picks to upgrade their offensive line. I don't care how bad the defense is. The best defense is still a good offense, and a good offense depends on a good offensive line.
My caveat of course is, will the next concussion be a career-ender for him?
Otoh, what’s there to lose? A draft pick? We’d recover from that
I just dont see it happening.

Isn’t this philosophy that created the mess they are in now
I would prefer two.
I would love to come away from the draft with Sweat and Burns.
Then you’ll get a lot more than 5 years of awful football

I think we need two as well. I am excited about Lorenzo Carter but he is still far from a sure thing and Golden is a rental.
That said, one of the reasons I liked the switch to 3-4 is that I think it is easier to find pass rushers that fit that scheme in the middle rounds than a traditional 4-3 pass rusher. I think we get a Montez Sweat, Josh Allen (fingers crossed) or Burns in the 1st and then another in the 3rd or 4th.
For us in this particular draft therefore you just aren't passing up elite pass rush or QB for Devin White at 6.
I keep coming back to DGs "if everything works out" comment. Taken with the "No guts no glory" comment, it really does sound like they think they can address their QB this year. The only other thing I can think of that would be in line with those comments is if they had ideas to move some of these picks in return for ammo to make a bold run at one of the QBs next year. But I'm not really sure how they would pull that off as I doubt anyone is begging to move into our spots this year. Maybe they are in love with someone like Jones. Who knows. I'm not ruling out Lock at 6.

There's not a danger we make 12 picks. Gettleman loves a trade up. He had four in four years in Carolina.
Yeah, that guy doesn't know what he's talking about. The Cards line was pathetic, David Johnson couldn't run either. I think I also saw the guy say that 60% of the sacks Rosen only had less than 2.5 seconds. He then blamed Rosen for the other 40%.
It'd be a very low risk move. But as everything this time of year it all depends on evaluations.
So how long have you known Rosen?
What I don't understand about the Cards is this:
If they really want Murray, then they should make it known that Rosen is available....I can't see keeping both.....I think they would get more for him BEFORE the draft than after......I have a sneaking suspicion that guy up in Foxboro may be interested....he might be willing to give his first round pick for Rosen......
If they don't want Murray, then they should be entertaining offers to trade down.....that team needs a lot of players.....

To paraphrase Charley Weis last week on Sirius, the longer they hold on to Rosen, the less they will get for him as they close in on Murray and teams are all wise to that
I think they are trying to get a RD1 pick from someone low in the round, like the Pats, Chargers, maybe the Saints.

The future would be in the defense if our draft picks pan out. Barkley should score points they still have a decent bunch of Wr's and maybe a decent TE. Jury still out on him. What I meant is we can live with Eli another year or 2 with a good or great defense a good O-line and the playmakers we have and then I will worry about the future QB
