RT is a more important position.

you're damn right im more concerned about RT. Wheeler is a GREAT depth player. We need some TALENT at the RT position. We got linebacker investments to assist Pierre. And BJ and RJ arent good enough?
A 31 year-old (soon to be 32) Left Tackle who's average at best...a human turnstile at Right Tackle...and various-sized tomato cans at Center.
So, yeah, they should spend their first two draft picks on a young QB who can spend a year watching Eli get clobbered and Barkley get stuffed, and a DT who can get used to being gassed midway through the third quarter.
The problem with Wilikns there is he’s not an edge guy and theyve got Tomlinson and Hill inside. That 5T DE position is on or outside the OT - think Calais Campbell in AZ as the prototype.
The guy who really fits that position in round 1 is Gary IMO. I love Wilkins and qed steal 1 of their jobs.
I do think they could let Dalvin walk and move Hill to NT where I think hed be outstanding.
fine with Wilkins at #17, although I agree he's probably best suited for a 4-3. I'd pass on Haskins and any QB at #6, and probably for the entire draft.

He's that good.
DT or DE in the Giants scheme is just as big of a need as RT.

Pierre is a body with experience. That is all he is and I've had preferred Mauro over him.
However, I'd still prefer using both 1st rounders on defense and then trading the 2nd to AZ for Rosen.
He knew Flowers was a late 1st round project.
As I've said before, hard to evaluate a raft without knowing who else was available when we picked.
