I disagree. I think offensive line is the biggest need, by far.

However, I'm still a BPA guy, so if their highest-rated kid is a defensive player when they're on the clock, so be it.

As DG said last year we will take the BPAs that fall to the g Giants in the draft. Just like last year. No need picks.

I have no problem with the Giants taking a Dlineman or top LB. Edge rusher at 6. If the Giants like 4 QBs than take one at 17 or trade up a little.

It would be EPIC if Murray, Haskins and Lock went Top 5 as their are 3, even 4 premier DL's in this draft:

Assuming Bosa and Allen are gone, if R. Williams is there at 6 how can you not just jump up and down with joy?

If we were to draft two solid defensive players (R. Williams, C. Ferrel) in the first round you'd have to be very happy. You can never have enough pass rushers.

Examine the roster and it will tell you where they are likely to go.

The pass rush remains a major deficiency. The signing of Golden is a replacement for Vernon but hardly constitutes a solution to the problem. The team lacks sufficient cap space to sign any pass rushers of consequence but its not clear there is anyone else still out there.

75 percent chance that the #6 pick is a DL/ER. Maybe White at LB but probably not

Can't completely discount Haskins but the chess pieces tell
me the pick is going to be a defensive player.

That's great, but people can't seem to get over it. It has nothing to do with anything else she's done which has for the most part been of high quality.

This particular "report" sounds like her opinion based on Shurmurs comments, coupled with the amount of high quality defensive players that will be available and our awful pass rush.

With #17 and a boatload of other picks.... we could move back up into the early teens or top 10 and grab the QB too

It will be defense because there are no Offensive players in the top 6 unless you count the OT Taylor.

I don't think that's reasonable at all. Kim's been covering the team for years. The job of being a beat writer requires building relationships with people. That's how you actually get people to talk to you. She had a working relationship with the Yankees when she covered them too. And she has the same working relationship with Saquon Barkley given that she covered his career heavily.

I'm assuming Bosa, Allen, Quinnen Williams are all off the board, and assuming that Arizona is going to take Murray.

None of these mock drafts, website rankings or player lists matter. Last year, every year, we see players picked much higher and lower than what the make believe scouts predicted. BBI hysteria ensues. Lessons never learned. Rinse and repeat.

plus the Giants weakness is the defense and the strength of the draft is defense. So it might be a good guess that the Giants are going defense.

I am not sure which is the worst of those scenarios:

1) Replacing Eli who is even worse
2) Not getting a defensive player or RT
3) Getting a raw WR at pick 6 due to a combine performance

I don�t ever recall her (and really can�t think of any other writers/media people) tweeting emotional missives to a recently traded player for any NY team in any sport the way she did with OBJ
