Pat Shurmur on picking 6th: #NYG want “best player on the board at that time. If they do fit a need, that’s ideal.”
My take: It’s almost certain in this draft that 6th-best player will be a defensive player. We’ll see...
Hey, maybe we'll go all Al Davis and take a K
She should play Roulette
And then she will write a story about how nice those defensive players who didn't get drafted were to her.

1 prediction she got wrong and its all you people seem to care about. Who's batting 1.000 these days?
She's more plugged in than most, the Beckham thing doesn't change that.
Yeah, but...her emotional investment in the OBJ story (and in OBJ in general) could reasonably be described as weird
I don't think that's reasonable at all. Kim's been covering the team for years. The job of being a beat writer requires building relationships with people. That's how you actually get people to talk to you. She had a working relationship with the Yankees when she covered them too. And she has the same working relationship with Saquon Barkley given that she covered his career heavily.
I don’t ever recall her (and really can’t think of any other writers/media people) tweeting emotional missives to a recently traded player for any NY team in any sport the way she did with OBJ
Is your issue with it that it happened so publicly?
Jay Glazer and Michael Strahan were best friends when he was an active player. Strahan certainly fed Glazer stories when he wrote for the Post. Glazer wrote Strahan's book with him and presented him at the hall of fame.
Media personalities and players are close all the time. When you're a regular beat writer you're essentially co-workers.

I’ve always been a Kim Jones fan. I really appreciated how emotional she was over the Paterno/Penn State issue, as a proud Penn State alum she loves the place, but didn’t blindly defend it either.
I just found the way she boldly guaranteed OBJ wouldn’t be traded, then got so emotional when it happened kinda weird, that’s all.
I would love if they did. When is the last time in the top 10 they picked a defensive player? Was that Cedric Jones?

Odell is not getting traded...
Agree, means nothing.

2016
p.s.--Kim Jones is not a scout and unlike her sources, she doesn't even play one on TV. So she is making a presumptuous (dare I say arrogant?) statement based on the opinions of people who are in it for clickbait, not in it to build an actual football team.
The majority of people you will find that have graded out the prospects of this draft have the top 6 players consisting of almost entirely defensive players.
There's really nothing to take away from this tweet - it wasn't meant to be a prediction.
Good?
