They have no reason to play it cool. They have the first pick.
Except now Murray has heard him call him one of the best without playing a down. Im not necessarily saying "play it cool" as a draft strategy but maybe temper the praise until he plays a down of professional football.

True, but it drops Rosen value somewhat. And if they decide not to draft Murray it really puts pressure on Rosen - he basically said that Murray is way better than Rosen.

I don't know, but I kind of like how he is being outspoken about it. You could also look at it as a smokescreen. We love Murray, if you want him you better off the farm to try and pry him from us.
The Cards and Kingsbury talking up Murray only helps them. Either they intend to take Murray and are playing up that he is too good to pass up while signaling teams that they are open for business with Rosen. Or they plan on staying put and are trying to get a QB needy team to jump up for Murray.

I dont anyone is going to get excited about Murray just because the Cardinals like him.
The only way Kingsbury's enthusiasm MIGHT affect Rosen's value... Â
...is if there's only one bidder, meaning it's a bilateral negotiation between Arizona and the buyer. If more than one team is in on Rosen, it's an auction and the seller's motivation is basically immaterial.

If the team picking #1 overall is flirting with the idea of drafting your guy, I think that would a pretty huge incentive.
The longer the Cards wait to unload Rosen (if they do), the less they will receive in return
Could be true, but it also may not be. First, they may be keeping Rosen and not drafting Murray, which is why they are playing this right. Second, wanting a QB will never go away, there will always be one, often time multiple teams interested in a young QB of his skillset.
Trading Rosen now, unless blown away with an offer, wouldn't be wise, IMO.
I've never seen a team give up as quickly as they did on there Â

You realize this means nothing right?
If I’m playing poker and shout out “wow pocket aces” no one is going to believe me, right?
number 1 round drafted QB like this.. Rosen has to be a head case or a terrible teammate.. just wow
They also fired their head coach after 1 year and put an offensive line out there that made the recent Giants' OLs look like the 1990s Cowboys. If he can be had for a 3rd, I'd hope the Giants do it.

Ever seen a team sack their first year coach so they can hire a college offensive coordinator who had just finished compiling a losing record as a college HC?
The Cardinals aren't exactly the image of rationality right now.

So true! Especially when the Cards take Murray with the first pick. If Rosen isn’t traded before the draft then they’re screwed. If it was poker every team would know the cards they were dealt, pun intended, and low ball the shit out of them. Just ask the Steelers how that worked out for them when trying to trade AB.
He seems bent on recreating his Texas Tech offense in AZ. I bh I give him 2 years tops. Drafting Murray at #1, when you already took Rosen at #10 last year, should be a fireable offense. They have holes everywhere, and in fact QB is one of their strongest areas.

With all the decision makers present in Arizona for the league meetings, I suspect that conversations are being held regarding Rosen's availability.

and what if they do?
Is Rosen really worth a trade of a draft pick higher than a 3rd round?
I mean he kinda stunk last year and apparently he has a know-it-all...sounds like a bad fit for NY.
Getting best value for Rosen.....a little cooler could get them a better pick IMO.

I give up.
Well, they should until they trade Rosen.

Was sounding about Bakley, last year. I'm Kingsbury can't forget the 360 passing and 100 yards running he put up against Tech, in last year's game.
