Lock on Sirius

I heard Lock on Sirius with Bill Polian
I did not here the entire interview but I paraphrase what I did hear
First a general note Lock is well spoken and seems to live football

Quote:

His completion percentage improved each year
His first two years Lock was in a max protection 11 personnel almost every play
The TE was held in to protect
The throws were predominantly downfield
In those years Missouri led the country with downfield passing

This past year the offense was changed to a prostyle
There were more short passes
Lock had to read the defenses and go through his progressions
His completion percentage increased due to style change

He was asked about playing under center

Lock has little experience under center but due to his athleticism he was able to pick up the footwork at the Senior bowl
He suggested that he is the most athletic QB in the draft and that he can play in all schemes

Lock was also very complementary about the Kentucky and Alabama defenses
Best defensive player this year was Allen

I like Lock a lot.

While I really like him and Haskins and always liked Rosen, I kind of have a feeling that the Giants won�t take a QB. It will probably annoy me, but I have multiple friends that will absolutely lose their mind if that�s the case. Even if you read on twitter you can tell people will go nuts. I guess in the grand scheme it doesn�t matter what the fan thinks, but if we having another losing year, then expect a year or longer trying to find a QB and get them past the usual rookie struggles, how is Gettleman and Shurmur going to survive it? You could say public opinion doesn�t matter but it really does, Mara seems to already be cracking and getting annoyed by things. What�s it like in 2 years?

He;s my 2nd best QB in this draft. The one thing that worries me is his mechanics vs pressure.

When you turn on the tape of Lock, the first thing that jumps out at me is how often this hits his receiver in stride. His accuracy in the middle of the field with moving receivers is uncanny.
