EXCLUSIVE: 5 On Your Side Investigators have confirmed the @NFL has requested information from Cleveland Police concerning two incidents earlier this year and former Browns safety Jabrill Peppers' role in them. DEVELOPING. @WEWS
none of this is horrible news
at the same time though, if there is something serious and DG didn't do his homework....
Stole his unregistered gun.
Not terrible news except for the person who got beat to death.
Wait a second. There is no one who thinks the woman in bed with his shitty pizza is hot.
...N.O.W.
Have a seat Dave.
You're F.I.R.E.D.
Slow down, Charlie.
Do you mean Will Hill?
I never got the impression any of Apple's issues were influenced by childhood friends which did appear to be the case with Hill.
By the person who stole the pot from him by the tort law of "attractive nuisance"
Buyer, "innocent owner", beware ....

How much longer are you going to cry about it? He also did very well on the trade.
Interesting take since testing positive for weed last i checked can get one suspended 4 games / 16 games / life, etc. There's also the minor incident of gun possession.
But yeah, much ado. Meanwhile Odell kicks and talks to nets... much worse.
(feel like I'm taking crazy pills)
Only on BBI...
Not yet. The day is still young...
somewhere.

what's the big deal? at least he's not on instagram eating pizza with some hot french model or something. now that would be a terrible distraction for a football team...

Diver_Down,
I know right? Just look at the thumbs on this ogress...
OBJ clearly had beer goggles that night huh? smh :-/

Peppers was robbed. The lady got killed by someone a few weeks later. A witness tried to stop the killer and the killer was arrested. Seems like a bunch of nothing to me.
Actually reading the article, it's not a non-story. It's a "did cops help a football player out by throwing away some weed and covering up an unregistered gun" story.
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A man posing as Cleveland Browns safety Jabrill Peppers’s uncle and financial advisor surreptitiously recorded a phone call with attorney Kevin Spellacy where the long-time attorney says that police disposed of some marijuana found in a bag stolen from Peppers’ Range Rover.
“I’m hoping to put it to bed,” Spellacy said on the recording. “There’s a few unanswered questions I have to talk to him about. He had an unregistered Glock in his car and we have to get him a new gun that’s registered clean.”
Spellacy said there were “other issues” and went on to say he hoped that there was no media coverage of the incident.
Spellacy said he was at the homicide unit, when a detective told him “that thing in his book bag doesn’t exist anymore.
Spellacy said in an interview with cleveland.com Thursday that he was joking when he referred to the drugs, and a Cleveland police spokeswoman has not said whether the contents of the recorded conversation were enough to launch an internal investigation into Spellacy’s claims.
According to the Cleveland police and the NFL it's a nonstory.
Wait. It is now a duffel bag full of weed? Jabrill is a Mexican drug lord?
Also, once the bag leaves his possession, the contents can no longer be tied to him. Simple chain of custody.

about him not being a suspect. That said, if there’s more to this story that comes out and it involves him, hoo boy, not a good look at all.

Now, he tested positive? The effort some will take to frame their argument. Only players in the substance abuse program are subject to random illegal drug testing. All other players are tested once a year beginning on 4/20 (yes, you can't make this up).
And gun possession? It was taken from his SUV. Do we know if it was a legally purchased gun? Are guns required to be registered in Cleveland? If it was legally purchased, then an owner is allowed to transport the gun in their car. Not everyone lives in a Nanny-state.
I find it hard to keep up with the Dupes at my old age. Which one is this?
+1
Beckham is a Cleveland Brown. Unless you're picking your fantasy players why does he mean any more than Landry at this point?
Move on already.
Go Giants!

How dumb can his lawyer be. HTF can Spellacy say all that over the phone. Now he is saying he was joking. If I was Peppers, I would fire him for being stupid, incompetent and for revealing what happened true or not. And why was he telling Peppers uncle anything anyway?
Not a HUGE thing, but a thing. A story.
These guys CAN have guns, and maybe should, in a lot of cases, as personal protection. They've got targets all over them. Register the damn gun. Money's not the issue, so do it if you're not a criminal.
And the pot? I don't think most people would begrudge these guys some marijuana. But be smart about it. Don't get high in-season ... and certainly don't leave a bag of it with your unregistered Glock in your "look at me!" vehicle.

Sounds to me that if it’s a story, it’s a story about police and how they treat celebrities. Still doesn’t seem to impact Peppers vis a vis the Giants.
I don't know if he may have broken any laws, he may have.
But the term is nonsense.
Add a "dame" and it's a damned good story, Spillane-worthy even.
He had nothing to do with the murder. The homeless woman who robbed his car was later beaten to death by a homeless man.
Police already said he has nothing to do with the murder and it appears they have already returned the gun...if so, then yeah it is a non-story for Peppers - not for the dead lady.
It really is a non story.
It's not a goatee...it's a Van Dyke. Get your facial hair names straight, pal.
