this stuff just reinforces why they traded him. The on a leash comment is hilarious given the fact that they practically force fed him the ball every time he was in the field. Maybe now that he’s off his leash he can catch critical passes in playoff games.
RE: I think people are going to finally realize how good Eli is (or was) Â
Odell is a great talent, but I've even heard an Eagles fan tell me that Eli makes his receivers look better than they are.
Steve Smith, Hakeem, Plex, Mario .... plenty have never achieved their production level once they left the Giants (yes I realize injuries are a factor too)
Odell is in his prime lets see if he can have better numbers than he did with the Giants
More like the excuse for Eli this year will be lack of talent at WR.
The WRs you mention were all old and/or injured when they left - of course their production fell off. Not a WR but Bennett and Shockey did pretty well without Eli. I’m sure Beckham will too. Meanwhile, Eli won’t have Beckham housing his slants for TDs anymore.
RE: or take an actual piss on the field after a TD Â
The more I see stupid shit like this from him, the more I enjoy the thought of this all blowing up in his face. Its the only way some people ever learn.
He is going to make some spectacular plays with the Browns... Â
and I don't think the circus will end now that he is gone from NY.
I don't have a factual basis for saying this and it is just a feeling... In the end, I think his total career accomplishments will be lower than expected based upon his fast start with the Giants.
Concerning this very subject, in which I compared him to Babe Ruth and Jeremy Shockey. This validates the theme of that thread.
OBJ is just like his self indulgent predecessors that predate him by 80 and 15 years.
I remain a big fan of all three of them, (as NY athletes) but that doesn't mean I endorse their selfish behavior.
OBJ might win a Super Bowl at Cleveland (as Shockey at N.O.), and I'll be happy for him, but he "made his bed" here, and had to go.
For what it's worth, Shockey technically won one here.
and I also posted a while back where one of our better offensive linemen (at a drunken poker game) said Eli's game improved once Shockey was off of the field and then eventually off of the team.
He has unbelievably great football skills, and as far as I could tell Â
His on field judgement when clock was running was the equal of his physical talent. It seemed he had no judgement about appropriate football judgement when clock wasn’t running, eg celebrations, preparation , eg boat party.
I don’t know the man but he seemed to just be a generational talent and reflect a generations values of “ME”. So he needed the leash, and the fact that he thinks it’s gone or he no longer needs it is just an example of his tilted judgement. Too bad such talent has such lack of insight and discipline.
The day he acted like a dog he was gone from Giant memory and Mara world. Sad but I agree and he should be gone. Hope he develops some better skills but I doubt he will.
His latest post he is congratulating his close friend sterling shepherd on his contract - what an idiot- who congratulated friends- guy has major issues - thank god we rid of that shit- hate dealing with players who are happy for their friends

Damn I knew we should have kept him! Wow what an ambassador of humanity! Posts a congratulations to SS...the effort that took. What work ethic and humility!
RE: RE: but he's just really really...passionate...and loves the game... Â
and heaven forbid someone should have some..fun...or show some...emotion!...or...excitement!...oh and he's a 'generational' talent...the best Giant EVER!!! for realz. How dare you speak of him like that. He sent a nice text to Kim Jones for heaven's sake! He's a saint!
Nicely done. Good to see I'm not the only one that was frustrated at reading so much bullshit these past few years.
I'm with you guys on this, the Golden God is just a drama queen who causes trouble. Sure he's good, great, whatever but you don't want that headcase on your team or in your locker room.
dawg pound, off leash. just regular social media talk - nothing to do with the giants.
I agree with this, despite my disdain for #13. I think he's thinking forward, not backward, he lacks the ability to be thoughtful or introspective so his comments are usually off the cuff. He is a classic borderline personality.

Those are terrible examples.
Steve Smith never recovered from his knee injury. Nicks never recovered from nerve damage. Plax was in jail and never played meaningful football. Manningham left and basically did the same thing elsewhere he did here - a 3rd WR role

A guys Instagram that is a bunch of highlights of him and his new teammates—- that is ridiculous. My post was sarcastic. People here genuinely get excited to Troll social media accounts and make up new narratives to feel better about our last 6 years -
1 He’s not a bad kid. Immature and me first like how many people his age? Not a big deal
2. He is NOT a generational talent. Maybe he keeps putting up insane stats. Maybe not. But that phrase doesn’t mean much even if he is as it seems there are a lot of “generational” guys these days who do t help their teams win anything that matters

I was bummed it didn't work out but he's moved on, as a fan so have I.
That being said - The personal attacks and pseudo psycho-analysis on this guy are pretty lame. Was really liked by vast majority of his teammates. Did some really cool things off the field (e.g. service dogs for veterans, visiting kids with cancer, and there's a whole lot more). And, re: "hey look at me" - for all the good he did off the field - he certainly didin't try to draw people's attention to that, trying to appear as a saint. Bottom line -he's probably done for others than most on this site - of course, many wouldn't have time because they spend so much time on BBI.
finally off the leash? hahaha good one... peace out Antonio Brown Â
He lost the spotlight to Barkley, got hurt, and was not the center of attention any more . So he acted out and then just quit playing hard. Lucky we got out from under his contract. Cleveland is the land of fools. What a mistake to sign him for that amount of money. We dodged a bullit . He will be hurt more than he will not be. Never be as good as he was his first years with us . Like a lot of these diva WRs. MO.

He can’t pee. He will be too dehydrated

Lol, this made me laugh. What athlete doesn’t like to drink water?
The guy was held to a different standard here. He was given more rope than anyone.

Yup. The blame lies squarely with Coughlin (who has a history of being a fake disciplinarian), Reese, Mara, and Tisch.
The days he focuses on his game rather than himself are the days I will regret.

Someone should just take that tool away from him!
His 100 million dollar contract should have had a "no social media" clause.
