Who'd you rather

RedZone88 : 4/12/2019 12:36 pm
Just for fun lets say there are two scenarios on draft day. The first you pick Haskins at 6 and have a choice at pick 17. The next situation the top defensive talent falls to pick 6 but you have to take Daniel Jones at 17. What has more value?

1) DWAYNE HASKINS (6) AND RASHAN GARY (17) -OR- MONTEZ SWEAT (17) -OR- JAWAAN TAYLOR (17)

2) JOSH ALLEN (6) -OR- NICK BOSA (6) -OR- QUINNEN WILLIAMS (6) AND Daniel Jones (17)
We're actually forced to make a pick?

I mean in either scenario I would punt the Qb altogether. The alternative choices at either spot would be *much* better.
I can't get behind
Pep22 : 4/12/2019 12:46 pm : link
any draft that doesn't yield a viable QB prospect and to me, Jones ceiling is Ryan Tannehill territory
So we Traded Odell
Vegas Steve : 4/12/2019 1:00 pm : link
so we could get Jones or Haskins?

Now that is Crazy

the elite defender and Jones is better value, IMO. I like Haskins, but not so much more than Jones (if at all) to pass up on a stud defender at 6.
Realistically after projecting the Top 5...

Oliver
Bush
Little/Risner

Call it a day.
the thread is asking about the presented scenarios
UConn4523 : 4/12/2019 1:10 pm : link
we know people won't want either, but its no fun if you don't answer within the parameters given.

Agreed that Oliver/Bush/Risner is our best case scenario.
Sullivan I hope we're so lucky...
Torrag : 4/12/2019 1:21 pm : link
...I'm starting to thuink Bush won't be there he could be a riser or was always higher than some think. The good news is the Draft is so deep there are several other great options at #17 like Lawrence/Tillery.
2 and its not close

Plus #1 could have been a list of who do you think will be the biggest bust.
Yeah
allstarjim : 4/12/2019 1:37 pm : link
the elite defender at #6 and Jones is how I'd go.

Both QBs have close to the same bust potential, IMO, but Jones has more of the traits that I think are necessary in terms of athleticism at the position.
Lol....

I have no freaking clue...I just can't wait until the draft is over so I can start rooting for some new guys to be GREAT GIANTS!
I was under the impression...

and I thought by the title that it was going to be a choice of "which beautiful model would I rather F?" (pics included of course)

The Giants will not draft a QB in the first round unless they REALLY like the guy. If so, he'd be taken at #6 and I just don't see it.

If Allen or Q were gone I would take your scenario, otherwise I would sub one of them for Oliver.

I'm also partial to something like Q/Allen/Oliver then Bradbury/Dillard then Lawrence (not likely there)/Simmons.
How about
Rjanyg : 4/12/2019 2:14 pm : link
6. Josh Allen
17. Devon Bush
37. Josh Rosen
95. Tytus Howard
Pick the best 2 defenders available in RD 1 and the best olineman
SterlingArcher : 4/12/2019 2:20 pm : link
available in RD 2 and pass on qb's!
Picking from the two scenarios you gave I'll go with option #1
Blue21 : 4/12/2019 2:52 pm : link
I'll only go as far as to say option #1 has to Haskins.
What’s behind door #3?
