QB Question for Dave Te and/or Sy '56

Pep22 : 4/12/2019 12:38 pm
Daniel Jones

Do you believe he has a sub par arm or is it just a matter of a tendency to prefer to feather in passes with increased arc (like Nick Foles prefers to do)?

Is that tendency problematic? Do you think the NFL team will coach him out of that?

What's the perception of the on field personality of Jones, Lock, Haskins?

What order do you think these three will be drafted (with KM being the 1st QB off the board)?
I can tell you Dave

Is not a fan of Jones at all and has said the only QB in this class he would draft in the first round is Drew Lock.
We'll take a QB

But not who u think... I say its McSorley with a 6th/7th.

Back to the future as a S? Stay @ QB?? hmm..
Dave also mentioned

The only QB he would take in the 1st round was Lock
His arm is good enough
Sy'56 : 4/12/2019 12:58 pm : link
But he won't be able to make some of the throws that others do. Didn't love his deep ball success...although that isn't a huge part of the grading.

Where I have him graded...you will know in about 10 days

Kinda like Chad Pennington?
My guess with our luck the QB we don't take will be the best one.

.
I think what makes Jones hard to assess
edavisiii : 4/12/2019 3:25 pm : link
is the lack of talent around him....likewise Haskins had great talent around him.

He's is 100% not

a starting NFL caliber QB. There isn't a question in my mind about that and a team is going to reach for him b/c he was coached by Dave Cutliffe and reminds them of the Mannings. He's not them. He was average through his college FB career, horrendous at the Senior Bowl against like competition and he was average at the combine. There is no way to justify taking this kid in rounds 1-3.

What, exactly, is their bad luck Drafting QB's???? The Last guy they drafted to be a Franchise QB is arguably a HOF'er.....otherwise, the QB is the toughest position to Draft, whether the #1 pick or the 301st pick---I don't believe their picks of Mid Draft QB's have been uniquely unlucky, compated to All Other Teams

now you might be right and he won't amount to much, but it isn't hard to see what some people like about him. He makes smart decisions with the ball and was the only reason that team won any games. Is there even another player on the team that will be drafted?
