Many just point to his unwillingness to tackle as reason that he is trash. But he has the ability to shut down #1 WRs in man-to-man. He literally takes away half the field while making QBs look silly when they try to throw his way. He is DRC in his prime.

Cornbacks have always been more prone to making "business decisions" as Prime would put it (not all of course, some tough SOBs over the years). Part of it is their smaller size and part of it is selection-bias (if you liked hitting more why wouldn't you be a safety or linebacker?) I could see if you're about to get a nice fat paycheck from the NFL, you might be less inclined to risk your health by throwing your 160 lb frame at a massive steamrolling SEC RB while LSU is not paying you a dime for your services. Some believe there's a possibility he will become a more "willing" tackler when he moves to the professional level.

That said, I will say tackling and hitting in general in football is an more natural instinctive thing... if you don't have that mean streak in you or that disregard for your body's well-being then you simply don't have it. And maybe Greedy doesn't.

I guess some team will find out.
