A bit stunning how poorly he has shot it. This guy led the NBA in three point shooting.

Tho I'm not rooting for Hou, it baffles me when a guy is struggling this bad and continues to take awful shots. I get he's good at step back 3s, but after you've gone 0-10 maybe take better ones. Especially given he gets tons of calls he should be attacking. Almost looks like he's tentative, not really looking for his shot when inside, and even standing out of the play for 24s at times. Utah D has been great but MVP can't drop his effort level

In the other hand, counting on getting fouls against the Jazz at Utah wouldn't be wise.

that is an additional plus to driving & taking better shots. Even stars get bad calls some games on occasion, but the NBA isn't going to swallow whistles on a star like Harden just because it's an away game. So taking bad shots when you are having the worst shooting game of your season for that reason would be a terrible idea

No doubt as I'm saying it, he goes to the rim and gets a call. First time almost all game. And now a dunk (tho that was on the break)

the 1-on-1 defender has been positioning BEHIND him. I've never seen that. There's usually a 2nd man not too far in front if no a double team. Not sure how that works, or if it effected him, but it's an interesting strategy in a game he shot poorly

Who literally look they're going to cry after a call or non call immediately places that person in the "non-likeable" category for me. I just can't get over that face. Lebron and Harden come to mind.

His 2nd foul halfway through the 1st quarter was the most predictable thing about this game. Him having 4 just shortly after halftime is the 2nd most.

It’s only the last and deciding play of the game - its only the playoffs- there are only 3 refs.... why would they make the right call there .... they thought he just decided after dominating on the the roll much of the game he just started tripping over his own 2 feet

I would be really curious for someone to do another analysis of the L2M reports. A better analysis than the one last year.

Anecdotally it feels like there a lot of post event apologies to the Nets. But I don’t know if it’s more than any other team.

I heard on Simmons/Russillo's pod today that Russ-and OKC obviously-is 4-14 in the playoffs since being up 3-1 over the Dubs in the '16 WCF. If Portland closes this out tomorrow, this will be the 3rd straight 1st round exit for OKC. They're paying a helluva lot of money for a roster that can't even advance to the semifinals.

I have ever seen and possibly in NBA history. MJ was smaller but quicker. Kobe is the popular answer but Kobe took shots that MJ never considered. Kobe was amazing in his own special way and more similar to young MJ. Kawhi plays within himself and is dominant both ways.

He’s unbelievable. Him vs. Durant is a legit toss-up in my eyes when he plays like this, I might even lean his direction.

I feel that Dame is so underrated, in part because he plays in Portland.

I've always had a soft spot for the Blazers so I hope they advance in their side of the bracket to the WCF, though they'll be massive underdogs to either Rockets or Dubs.

Kawhi is tremendous, though I'd still take KD over him.

The conference semis are going to be insane. This is what we're looking @, absent some epic collapse sans the SA-Denver series:

Bucks vs. Celts.
Raps vs. 76ers.

Dubs vs. Rockets.
Blazers vs. Spurs/Nugets.

Rockets Raps Finals.

It's a damn shame that every Dubs Rockets game is going to start @ 9:30 PM EST or later. Maybe I should just move back to the West Coast for that series? :-)

And CP3 stays healthy. I don’t care about WCF appearances. This bracket gave the Rockets the best chance to beat the Dubs. I’m ready for it.

2nd round should be extremely fun to watch.

If Houston doesn't shoot 6 for 38381831 from 3 in Game 7 last year, they're the ones everyone is gunning for. That game so pissed me off. They were up double digits @ half & I really thought it was their time. Hopefully this is their year for your sake.
